I love xom. they raise the gas price recently. we pay too much to them. Then we make money from XOM's stocks and options.

Correct timing to sell oil stocks was seven to ten days back. It will be downhill from here. I dumped our oil stocks three weeks back.
Price of oil has reached a point to be destructive to world economies, and it is destroying economies. Regardless of how much "potential" a given oil stock displays, it will lose value. This is in strong evidence already.
My suggestion, in another thread, is to move into raw materials not related to oil, and into services which are "close to home" types.
The consumer market is quickly falling apart, and oil price is the main cause.
People cannot afford to buy gasoline. Shipping companies cannot afford to buy gasoline. Truckers cannot afford to by diesel. Makers of oil based products cannot afford to make thier products.
Almost all products depend on oil. Almost all products are too expensive for a majority of world populations, including Americans.
You have been keeping up with news about time immortal General Motors, yes?

OPEC is going to help us! Sure. Those terrorists are are going to do us a favor. What a laugh. OPEC is just taunting us, just rubbing it in.
Glassman, you know what really annoys me about President Cheney being bent on destruction of our world evironments? He is doing so simply to profit himself, his family and his oil friends.
Destroy Alaska, destroy the last and most fragile natural wonder of the world, for a five percent increase in oil supply some ten years from now?
Ten years from now oil demand will be up fifty percent. That five percent from Alaska will make absolutely no difference, and we will spend over ten-billion dollars cleaning up the oil spills which _will_ result and will prove to be a very permanent disaster; oil never goes away.
Remember the Exxon Valdez? We are still paying for that one. Captain of the ship was probably a republican henchman.
Who is arguing for destroying Alaska the most?
Alaskan republican senators, Ted Stevens and Lisa Murkowski; traitors to their own state!
If you can, catch a private screening of the movie "Oil On Ice" which is about the government rape of the Alaskan environment and peoples. Many universities and colleges are screening the movie to help stop the republican rape of America and our environment.

it would not surprise me to see oil prices drop back down AFTER the ANWR is officially opened by the house and senate....a signature by Bush would not be required, because it's a foregone conclusion...
the amount of money we have/spent/are spending in "freeing" the mideast could have been spent here in america removing US from our oil dependance... it can be done, lack of imagination stifles us tho...
hundreds of billions on war instead of research and infrastructure development ... \
what was that Springstein song? "i took a wrong turn and i just kept goin." everybody's gotta hungry heart...
