Last night I read an article in "Mobile PC" I think, about Liquid Metal,(liquidmetal.com). Positive coverage, then I look it up today. It's in the PK @ $1.65. Last March I bought on the 4th @ 3.44 sold on the 5th for $ 4.23 , a nice bump from a CC. Purl Girl (welcome back PG) scolded me for my one nite stand, but she was as always diplomatic. Now I'm wondering what happened to LQMT. Too many people like me took there gains and forgot all about it. I don't do PK but it occurs to me that this could be an opportunity to buy if the DD checks out. Anybody?

Liquidmetal, last year, announced a restatement of all past ten-Q filings. That type of announcement is a death sentence. Their restated financial filings were not significantly different but doing so makes investors very nervous. Add to this late filings by LQMT because of their extensive audits.
Another event is legal problems came about from their Korean interests and selling off of a plant over there. This was discussed briefly by me here at Allstocks, I think farther back in time than old postings here are kept.
Most significant problem is back when you made so much profit off LQMT, as many of us did, a very serious bandwagon was in effect. If I did scold you, which is likely, it was for jumping on a bandwagon which is very risky.
In summary, LQMT had to restate thier financial reports for the past several years, had some late filings, were not in as good of financial shape as thought, legal problems in Korea, and a major crash in prices because of a bandwagon.
LQMT is still a good short term play for profit; they are headed right back up to old prices.

Thanks PG. I'm so glad you're back. We missed you, your vast knowledge, candor, sense of humor and erudite posts. I'm giving LQMT some thought. Once they get off PK and rebuild credibilty they should climb to $3.00 +. And maybe I'll stick around this time.

Keithsan, it has only been a year. Relax kid!
I've been in jail since a New Years 2004 party. I was arrested for felony wreckless crawling and attempting to walk; my third offense in as many years. I was doing ok until some S.O.B. stepped on my fingers which led to my biting his ankles. Darn guy called the cops on me.
Gray, "erudite" are you talking hip or dirty?
LQMT is already good for profit if you don't mind playing a ten cent to fifteen cent spread on share price. Friday range was 1.61 to 1.77 for a sixteen cent spred on the day. I made some profit off LQMT by buying in late Jan - early Feb and selling very recently.
Barely two months back, LQMT climbed to over 2.70 per share. LQMT will do this again. Nothing really wrong with LQMT, they simply clobbered themselves by not keeping their paperwork straight.
Some good news out recently on Head snow skis.
Watch LQMT on a regular basis. You will note a very predictable pattern of rising and falling an average of ten to fifteen cents per share, which makes for great short term profit.
Since February of last year, the stock markets have totally sucked. You really need to find small plays like LQMT to make any money; we are currently scraping the barrel bottom.
