Global Concepts' Savage Beauty(tm) Line Selected By Whole Foods Chain
GARRISON, N.Y., Jan. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Global Concepts, Ltd. (OTCBB:GCCP) announced today that its SAVAGE BEAUTY(tm) line of chemical and preservative free skin care products has been selected by Whole Foods Market to participate in the opening of the biggest and greatest Whole Foods Market ever built. Weighing in at over 80,000 square feet and full of new concepts, this blockbuster store will set a new standard for the industry. Located in the heart of downtown Austin, the new store sits directly below the Whole Foods world headquarters.
The large pre-opening order of units of every SAVAGE BEAUTY(tm) product will enable Whole Foods Market to set shelving to accommodate each of the personal care products it has committed to carry in the Whole Body Department. SAVAGE BEAUTY(tm) has also been invited to participate in the Whole Foods Vendor's Show in Austin, Texas on February 8, 2005.
This is the fourth opening of a major Whole Foods Market in which SAVAGE BEAUTY(tm) has been selected to showcase its products. Previous major openings were at Whole Foods Market in the Time Warner Building at Columbus Circle in New York City, and Whole Foods Markets in Redwood, California and Bellevue, Washington. These prestigious events garner for SAVAGE BEAUTY(tm) a great deal of publicity; the Columbus Circle opening alone resulted in two mentions in Women's Wear Daily.
With 160 stores and sales over $3.1 billion, Whole Foods Markets (Nasdaq:WFMI) is the country's largest chain of natural and organics foods supermarkets. Whole Foods Markets accounts for approximately 30% of SAVAGE BEAUTY(tm)'s sales and is the company's largest customer.
