i have a measly 10k shares i bought awhile ago at a nickel. it's such a small amount, for me i'm just going to hold for a few years and see what happens; i like the company. gray is right though, the chart isn't too pretty, and not a lot of excitement about the stock out there at the moment. i think it's going to come down to how the results of whitesides come out after it's up and running for awhile, to see if they are actually making $. we'll see, i'll hold with my small amount and see how it plays out.

Iesv news! Intrepid Signs 15 Year Supply Agreement With Intermountain Gas Wednesday June 15, 3:15 pm ET
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, June 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Intrepid Technology and Resources, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IESV - News; ITR) a renewable energy company and Intermountain Gas Company ("Intermountain") a natural gas utility announced today the signing of a memorandum of understanding that includes purchasing ITR's planned methane produced natural gas using anaerobic digester technology at participating diaries in southern Idaho. ADVERTISEMENT
The agreement runs for 15 years and provides for Intermountain to purchase all of the pipeline quality methane gas produced by the digesters and delivered to the Intermountain distribution system by ITR over the life of the contract. Furthermore, Intermountain will provide assistance for the installation, operation and maintenance of the gas gathering system that will collect and transport the gas produced by the participating dairies. Prices paid will be determined by current market conditions with a "floor price" to help secure ITR's financing.
ITR's prototype methane gas plant near Rupert, Idaho combined with their second plant near Wendell, Idaho where site preparation work is now under way is expected to be capable of producing 140 million cubic feet of gas annually. ITR plans to have an additional two to three methane gas plants in some form of construction or completion by the end of 2006 which could bring total revenue generation capacity to well over 3 million dollars.
William Glynn, President of Intermountain Industries, Inc., parent company to Intermountain Gas, stated "Intermountain is pleased to be teaming with ITR and fully supports the 'Methane to Market' approach that ITR is taking with methane gas production at Idaho's diaries. Our gas purchase and cooperation agreements with ITR will be of benefit to all of Idaho and particularly those who are looking for the most environmentally friendly methods at Idaho's important and growing diary industry."
Dr. Dennis Keiser, President and Chief Executive Officer, of ITR, stated "It is exciting to team with Intermountain to develop the Methane to Market concept that may produce large quantities of reliable, renewable energy for Idaho and the Nation and help spearhead the methane to market concept in the United States, a concept that is already well entrenched in European countries. Intermountain's knowledge of the natural gas industry will be invaluable in combination with ITR's knowledge of anaerobic digester technology."
Intermountain is a wholly owned subsidiary of Intermountain Industries, Inc. a closely held holding company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Intermountain serves more than 250,000 customers with natural gas service throughout southern Idaho.
Intrepid Technology is a national leader in the Methane to Market Partnership for producing and delivering biogas products for energy. The Methane to Markets Partnership is an international initiative that focuses on advancing cost-effective, near-term methane recovery and use as a clean energy source. 14 countries, including the United States, launched the initiative on November 16, 2004.

I think this is a good stock to buy for the long haul. It's got lots of potential but you'd have to hold it for years to reap large rewards probably.

A lot of potential with this outfit. I've been playing their stock since 2003 / 2004 for decent profits, and back in again a few months back.
I believe people would find that news to be better if they had quoted prices for the methane.
IESV is working on expanding into California, the dairy capital of the states, for milk. My hope is IESV will announce additional news on contracts secured here in California. I am considering writing to politicians to urge them to look at IESV methods to reduce pollution and bolster methane supplies.

I speak to Brad freeze on a regular basis, when they begin selling the gas from the white side operation, it will be a break even proposition. In about two weeks he will be able to tell us what the price of the gas will be that they are selling. They plan on being in California in 07, possibly sooner. There is also a possibility of going to Wisconsin, for a operation there.

"Break Even" is better than I would expect. They are doing very well, indeed.
I would be satisfied to read mild losses on their new facilities with their still being in a research and development stage. Technology like theirs does take time to develop into a profitable venture.
Your news about California and Wisconsin is most encouraging. Both states produce a lot of bio-waste from dairies, and the magnitude of waste is great.
I did read news, I think last year, noting IESV has made contacts in California. They do have expansion in mind.
I plan to accumulate a bit more IESV on dips.
For trivia here is a link to my January 2004 article on IESV stock,
I am always fascinated to look back at myself, to look back at my attitude. That article exemplifies how my initial approach in research is skeptical, cautious and questioning. I even urge others to not buy IESV stock!
That type of attitude during research does help me to reduce my number of bad picks.

Break even is on whitesides operation only. Some day this will be big,I may not live that long, but so what.I look for .25-.30 by early 07. Would like your opinion on WWAT.

More good news from IESV. I am going to start writing letters to California politicians urging them to look at adopting Intrepid technology to reduce our pollution problem and to bolster our state's economy with job creation.

Intrepid to Undertake Major Gas Production Expansion
June 22, 2005 14:44:32 (ET)
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, June 22, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Intrepid Technology and Resources, Inc. (ITR) (IESV, Trade) a renewable energy company and the Whitesides Dairy located in Rupert, Idaho jointly announced today a significant expansion of both the dairy herd and ITRs anaerobic digester and methane gas plant.
The dairy received, on June 16, 2005, a permit to increase the size of the herd by a total of 2500 milking cows. This will require the expansion of Intrepid's Methane Gas Plant from two tanks to eight 35,000 gallon tanks and increase gas production by over 100,000 cubic feet of gas production per day. The newly expanded dairy will be constructed as a free stall facility which allows for near total removal of the dairies solid animal waste versus the current dairy which is an open lot.
Steve Whitesides, co-owner of the dairy stated, "Our adoption of Intrepid's digester system was crucial in allowing our dairy to receive this expansion permit. With the digester system in successful operation processing our waste it brings the interests of the dairy and the environmental concerns of the community together making the permitting process much easier." Mr. Whitesides further stated. "Expansion will start in the fall of this year and be completed around mid summer of 2006. Our ability to expand is vital for the economic viability of this commercial dairy and the Intrepid digester system is a big part of our future."
Dr. Dennis Keiser, ITR's President stated at the announcement, "We are thrilled over the economic impact our methane gas plant is having on the Whitesides dairy and are proud to be a part of this successful and well run operation. We are also excited over the economic impact this will have for our company and its shareholders. This is a major expansion coming only 4 months after the start-up of the bio-fuel plant and a considerable endorsement on the technology and more importantly the process we have adopted. This expansion will require an additional building and pad along with the six new tanks. However an extensive amount of the infrastructure can be shared between the existing plant and the expansion resulting in considerable economies of scale in construction."
Expanding on the future plans of ITR Dr. Keiser further stated, "We continue to have discussions with other major dairymen in the southern Idaho region on utilization of the digester technology employed at the Whitesides dairy. The company's goal is to place 200,000 dairy cows under gas production within 5 to 10 years. 200,000 cows will produce over 4 billion cubic feet per year of pipeline quality gas which can be sold through our arrangement with Intermountain Gas."

I just got off the phone with Brad, the digestors at white sides are running 95%, he is shooting for 98 to 99. BTUs of the gas content is 1000 per cubic foot. Which is pipeline quality. By adding six more digestors they will show a small profit at white sides. He expects to be selling gas to the pipeline in five months, or sooner. Most of the foundation work has been gone at Westside.

IDAHO FALLS, ID--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 6, 2005 -- Intrepid Technology and Resources, Inc. (ITR) (OTC BB:IESV.OB - News), a renewable energy company, announces a resurgent interest in ITR's engineering services division by the Idaho National Lab and other commercial users of custom engineering work.
ITR had reallocated much of its engineering staff to the design and implementation of the company's first biogas plant which is now operating near Rupert, Idaho. With that facility now operational and much of the design work on the second biogas plant now complete, ITR has been able to shift some personnel back to its engineering services division. In the month of June, ITR has received 116,000 dollars in new engineering and technical support contracts.
"The Intrepid approach to building these biogas plants is unique," stated ITR's President, Dr. Dennis Keiser. "Once we've built one, the next in line looks pretty much like the last one. It was necessary to decrease our overall revenues the last several quarters as we were dedicating much of our staff towards bringing the first plant on-line. Now that this has been accomplished it gives us the opportunity to allocate some of our technical personnel back to revenue-generating contract services."
Dr. Keiser further stated, "While our biogas division, which designs, builds and operates these plants, will continue to generate the largest portion of ITR's revenues, the reallocation of personnel gives us an immediate revenue stream. Overall, Intrepid will turn cash flow positive in 2006 and will be profitable for that calendar year. Once these biogas plants commence operation, the revenue stream is constant and substantial. It would not be out of the question to generate close to 5 million in revenue in 2006 and anticipate it to double in 2007," Dr. Keiser concluded.
ITR has additionally started the process to utilize its ability to issue up to 20 million dollars in federal and state tax exempt industrial revenues bonds to finance the expansion to the Whitesides biogas plant and the construction of the Westpoint biogas plant. ITR anticipates the bonds being priced with interest rates under 7%....

Thanks, Krysten. I am off to have a look. If on the SHO list, this means IESV is being naked shorted. This would explain the recent drop in price.

I intend to go Rupert Idaho this September, wanna take a first-hand look at this operation. Last time I talked to Brad he said that would be no problem seeing the sights, I wanna look at Whiteside and west side. I know we are on the short list, but I'm still expecting 25 to $.30 by January. In approximately 4 months he will be selling gas from the whiteside operation. I have already flipped this once at .16. Got back in at eight, I have high hopes for this, but it will take time. purl gurl, I always enjoy your posts.

I will admit that was not a good thing to do, but I still believe that when they start selling gas and get Westside online it should move into the $.25 range. Anyway that's my opinion, and time will tell whether I'm right or wrong.

I am pleased to announce that IESV is no longer on the Regulation SHO Threshold list. Thanks for looking into it PG. It scares me that their are people out there with enough umpf in their portfolios to cause a company to come close to removal from the NASDAQ then turn it right back around. I have not found anything yet to indicate what caused this to happen and then to get them off. Might just be a late filing or something. I would really like to see their forecasts on methane about now.

Krysten, a thought which popped into my mind about the SHO list and IESV is there was a tremendous spike in volume for several days resulting from their recent good news.
It is possible their listing on the SHO was an anomaly resulting from such an extreme number of legitimate shares being traded in a short period of time. That notion is backed by relative stability in prices. For most cases, naked shorting results in very devastating price drops. That has not happened for IESV.
Cornell Capital, yes, that is not a good sign. This could be contributing to both the SHO listing and lower than expected share prices.
I agree with Slim on his thoughts of a very positive future. So far, Intrepid seems to be doing "everything" just about right.

Ya know, recent events with IESV do make sense.
A couple of years back when IESV first came to our attention, their primary income was from engineering services, and their bio-gas research was a sideline endeavor.
Since then, they have moved into major production of bio-gas requiring a lot of capital expenditure. Makes sense they need to borrow money in order to expand. Cornell Capital and the likes, IESV credit rating, being a small development stage company, their credit rating would leave them with little choice but to go with "Cornell" type financing. Very risky, though.
However, based on their performance to date, based on their keeping to their business plan, there is evidence Intrepid has a good management team at the helm.

I am inclined to agree with you. The SHO listing seems like a knee jerk reaction to recent events more so than a true risk of status change. What concerns me most though is that a knee jerk occurs with a company like Intrepid, excellent business plan, forward forecasts that match their progress, up to date news, and good looking charts. But then so many other companies fall under the radar such as China Tech Global who still has not filed the recent quarter report or any financials.
Then again, is it possible to interpret this brief listing as a good thing? Recent activity, increased volumes etc?
