I just had a question about brokers, ok I trade with Ameritrade but also came across Freetrade which is owned by Ameritrade. My question is whats the difference between them, it seems like Freetrade would be the better deal saving me alot of money in commissions. Has anyone switched from Ameritrade to Freetrade? Also if anyone could tell me of any good daytrading brokers out there it seems like I been getting carried away lately buying and selling a stock the same day I just don't want my account to be flagged. Thank You

Ameritrade offers a lot for a little (fee). $10.99 is all that it costs and if you qualify as a
daytrader, they provide you with free access to Level II quotes. Not bad, and it has been
pretty reliable for mr_geronimo and letsplay28. http://www.ameritrade.com

I use Ameritrade, and just qualified for Ameritrade APEX.

If you average 10 trades/month you will be automatically upgraded. This gives you priority support, free level 2 quotes, free streaming news, and free use of the advanced analyzer application.

All trades are $10.99. I've been very happy with it. I recently obtained margin on my account so that you do not have to wait for three days for your OTC (non-marginable) trades to settle before gaining access to the funds.
