San Francisco 49ers Select Terremark to Provide Managed Services and House Critical Infrastructure at NAP-West 09/28/2004 08:00
The San Francisco 49ers announced today the signing of a contract with Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (AMEX:TWW), a leading operator of integrated Tier-1 Internet exchanges and best-in-class network services, for managed services and to house their critical-infrastructure at Terremark's NAP-West facility in Silicon Valley.
Terremark will manage the San Francisco 49ers on-line presence, which includes their homepage http://www.49ers.com, as well as facilitating online services to 49ers fans, employees and business partners. The content for 49ers.com will reside on Terremark's owned and operated servers programmed with a highly secure, reliable, scalable and redundant configuration. The 49ers will also connect to Terremark's Managed Router Service for continued connectivity in Terremark's NAP-West facility.
