I am new to trading, been doing it for about a year. I was wondering what the experts thought about OCRI. It appears as though they could spike. If a PR was to come out stating that they had left to retrieve 5 to 7 million dollars worht of copper ingots from a WW1 wreck? Not sure if it is long term or anything, just good for a short term spike?

personally, i would avoid this stock like the plague. dredging up old base metals from the depths of the ocean? i have a seriously difficult time believing they will make money doing this. so many things can go wrong - small recovery rate, storms at sea, you name it. jmho of course, but - i would stay away from this one.

I was just wondering what other people thought. By "experts" I mean anyone who understands more then me. That would be all most everybody on this web site.

Thanks for the thoughts

I've been playing this stock since March. It has been very predictable. The recovery ship has finally left the harbor. You need to do your own DD and this post isn't intended as a pump. The next month should be very interesting.

Ocean Resource's MV Ocean Boomer Departs Shipyard for First WWI Shipwreck Recovery Project
Wednesday September 22, 1:52 pm ET

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 2004--Ocean Resources, Inc. (OTCBB:OCRI - News), a marine salvage operator specializing in retrieval of commodity-grade metals from deepwater shipwrecks, today announced that its ship MV Ocean Boomer has left the A&P Birkenhead shipyard in Liverpool where it underwent a six-month multi-million dollar refit and technical modernization to integrate the company's leading edge technology grab system and Remote-Operated Vehicle (ROV) unmanned submarine. Over the next four to six weeks, the Ocean Boomer will be conducting its first salvage project -- recovery of the lost "commodity treasure" cargo of copper ingots from a British merchant marine ship sunk by German torpedo fire in WWI. With the value of copper at $1.30 per lb, the cargo has an estimated value of $5 to $7 million on international commodities markets.
"With good fortune and fair weather we should be lifting ingots in 10 to 20 days," stated Kit Chambers, Ocean Resources Chief Operating Officer, as he scanned the horizon from the A&P docks in Liverpool. "We'll continue recovery efforts at this project until our window of good weather closes. Then we'll move on to the next recovery site. Ocean Resources' contracts for shipwreck recovery projects worldwide will keep us busy year-round well into 2006."

Ocean Resources is focusing on WWI and WWII merchant ship recovery projects of commodity-grade metals. Its initial six projects are estimated to have an aggregate market value of more than $110 million.

"By pursuing the unique strategy of harvesting only known 'commodity treasures' that have already been surveyed, versus jewels, gold coins, or artifacts that most salvage operations target, Ocean Resources is positioning itself for long term stability," said Dennis McLaughlin, Ocean Resources CEO.

Spearheading the project is Graham Jessop, Ocean Resources' vice president of salvage recovery operations and a deep sea salvage veteran with recovery credentials including RMS Titanic, RMS Carpathia, S.S. John Barry, and HMS Edinburgh.

"Not only are we working with a proprietary archive of accurate shipwreck locations, we've assimilated the cutting-edge technologies and deep sea recovery expertise needed to forge a strong leadership position in this new industry niche we're carving," stated Mr. Jessop. "We will release recovery details from the expedition immediately upon our return to port."

About Ocean Resources, Inc.

Ocean Resources, based in Dallas, Texas, is a unique marine salvage operator with the proprietary technology, intellectual resources and experience that enables it to cost-effectively retrieve vast supplies of "commodity treasures" from shipwrecks at greater ocean depths than previously possible. Ocean Resources recovers goods from Merchant Marine whose ships sank due to enemy fire during WWI & WWII as they were attempting to deliver non-ferrous metals and other raw materials to help the war effort. Ocean Resources retrieves then sells the raw metals on the world's commodity markets and shares the proceeds with the governments and prior owners of the shipwrecks. Ocean Resources is publicly traded on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board under the symbol OCRI. For further information, visit www.oceanri.com.

I played this stock a last week, from $0.13 to $0.17. I think it might jump off the next PR if it is positive and they set to sea. But as with everything, we shall see?

It seems very sensitive to news. It's down .02 at .16 right now but there is excellent volume and buying at this level. If the test works as it should I suspect this one will be played like a roller coaster till they get another ship.

You got that right. Picked up another block at .125. It's now at .14.

As I stated before this is very predictable. I'd like to see it run but that shouldn't happen till word on the initial load is delivered to the docks.

Do your own DD on this one. It's not for the faint of heart.

This stock slide during the past couple of weeks based on stock dilution factors and bad weather in the Atlantic during their initial sea trials. Everyone was concerned about how the technology would work. It appears to be excellent. I picked up a major block at .064 yesterday immediately after the following PR. The currant trading is at .085. You may also want to listen to yesterdays tradersnation.com. Do your own DD including review of the 10KSB on the SEC website. Happy trading

Ocean Resources to Commence Winter Recoveries Program
Thursday October 14, 9:21 am ET

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 14, 2004--Ocean Resources, Inc. (OTCBB:OCRI - News) today announced that due to continuing unfavorable weather conditions in the North Atlantic, the company has chosen to depart from its current project west of Ireland and commence its $11 million winter recoveries program.
The first project of this program is a World War I wreck located in the Mediterranean Sea whose manifested cargos include over $2.5 million (at current spot market valuation) of tin ingots and other metals. The wreck has already been found and positively identified on the seabed. Ocean Resources plans to take advantage of milder weather at this location and commence recovery operations by November 1. This operation is expected to be completed within six weeks of its start date.

Immediately thereafter, the company will proceed to a World War II wreck off the east coast of Africa, which carried manifested metals cargos of over $9 million (at current spot market valuation). Recovery operations there are expected to last a period of four months.

"The intense hurricane activity and prevailing North Atlantic typhoon season has, for now, rendered recovery operations off the Irish coast potentially hazardous to crew and equipment, therefore it is in the company's interest to accelerate its winter recoveries program and return to the Ireland project in the spring," said Ocean Resources Chief Executive Dennis McLaughlin.

Ocean Resources' deep-sea excavator, ROGE, has performed superbly in sea trials at Bantry Bay in Ireland, retrieving up to four tons of metal per grab from a nearby shipwreck similar in age and contour to the Mediterranean wreck.

The Company's VP of Salvage Operations Graham Jessop stated, "The ROGE's underwater maneuverability has exceeded our expectations. Given these results, we are optimistic in our abilities to recover the metals we are after in our upcoming projects."

Ocean Resources' inventory of merchant shipwrecks includes World War I and World War II wrecks that carried copper, tin, nickel, and other metals for the war efforts.

OCRI will issue news on the progress of its Mediterranean project prior to completion, said Mr. McLaughlin.

Ocean Resources, Inc. is a marine salvage operator utilizing proprietary technology and sea recovery expertise in an attempt to retrieve significant supplies of commodity metals from World Wars I and II merchant shipwrecks lying at previously unreachable depths. The company's ROGE (Remotely Operated Grab Excavator), a hydraulically operated multi-jaw grab, is among the world's most advanced deep sea excavating devices, capable of seizing up to three tons of material in a single grab and operating at depths of up to 16,000 feet, nearly double that of any competitive device. Ocean Resources' recovery operations are directed by Graham Jessup, an internationally accomplished deep sea salvage expert who participated in recoveries from the RMS Titanic, RMS Carpathia, S.S. John Barry and HMS Edinburgh. For further information, visit www.oceanri.com.

this is why i'm afraid to play with stocks in companies with ludicrous business plans: you may ride them up a few times for some gains, but if you stick with them too long - you're more than likely to get burned. if you can play them well - great - but, it's just not for me.

i still maintain that there is no way this company will ever make any money. i could be wrong, but - i doubt it.

Blue, I can certainly understand your toughts on this subject. But OCRI has had a 30% gain in the past week. I'd like to think this is a positive sign.

Second ship operations begin 11/1/04. Let's take another look after that operation.

I was very close to buying this stock yesterday because of how low it was. Ah well, catch it next time. I was kind of waiting for a Good PR to come out. When they actually bring something of worth back from there exploration, this stock should do very well. I will be watching for that PR. It is nice that it has been pushed this low. I see this stock going over 0.20 when that PR comes out. Assuming it does????

.20? i still say that they will never make any $ and that it will hit .03 before .20, to me the risk of getting burned holding this one outweighs any potential short-term swings up.

but - i promise to come back and eat crow if i am wrong, and i admit that quick swing plays i'm not that good at.

good luck, but - imho, tread cautiously with this one and get in and out quickly if you play it.

I do hear ya blue. I think it has not seen the bottom yet. However, when and if this company starts to recover the things it is searching for, I think this stock will do well. Something I am going to keep in my watch list. Yes, I have to agree that it is very risky, considering they could never recover anything. it is, after all, at the bottom of the ocean.

As with everything people need to do there own research. Along with that research it is nice to know what other people think. Also I agree - IN AND OUT. I kind of screwed up on one hold, but I am still sitting at gains with this stock.

Telruc, I'm not in the habit of pumping and dumping a stock. I believe the long term future of this company is solid. I realize that bashers are eveywhere but you can only post what is happening and let others decide for themselves. I'm LONG on this stock. If people what to join me for this ride more power to them. This is the lastest.

DALLAS, Oct. 29, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- John Pentony, Publisher of TalkingStocks.com, today announced profile coverage of Ocean Resources Corporation (OTCBB:OCRI). Speaking of the company, Pentony said, "We are excited about their business model. Ocean Resources is quite a unique business. With its 'ROGE' -- Remotely Operated Grab Excavator -- they are able to grab three tons at depths of up to 16,000 feet. That is about double what competitors are capable of doing. The company is on the cutting edge in its industry. We are quite excited to initiate coverage."

crusader30, I am not implying that you have to pump and dump this stock. Take into account that if you had bought this stock at .16 or .18 cents. You would be very hurting as far as losses right now. If, however, you bought at that price and you averaged down, at say .10 cents – and again at .07, which I did. Then when this stock started to rise again, you could take some profit to cover your original investment. If you had done that you would not be doing bad at all. If that is pumping and dumping then so be it. I see that as risk management.
This stock, I believe, has good long term gains possible. However, I agree with Blue that this stock is also very risky, so rather then go all in and hold for the possible. I am taking enough profit to cover my principle investment as then a little for the effort, but I am still holding a nice chunk to see where this will go.

To each his own, do what you will.

Telruc, Absolutely correct strategy. And I can surely understand Blue. This is a ricky venture. NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED!

I have invested in several of the stocks touted on this board. And made a little money on each, all very short term. So when I found this stock I followed each lead and did my DD. I liked the company from the start. I've talked to a couple of Directors and listened to the CC's. They have sweated it into existence. Nice style about them.

When it went to .063 I finished out my position for the time being. Now I'm holding and watching their every move. You can understand my interest.
