International Barrier to Break Ground for Expansion

WATKINS, Minn. and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct 08, 2004 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- International Barrier Technology, Inc. ("Barrier") (OTCBB:IBTGF) (TSX Venture Exchange:IBH), a manufacturer of proprietary fire resistant building materials, will celebrate the expansion of the company's manufacturing facility with a groundbreaking ceremony, Wednesday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of an estimated $2.7 million expansion of Barrier's manufacturing facility that will include the addition of 15,000 sq. ft. to the existing facility as well as a new production line.

According to Michael Huddy, president and director of Barrier, "Our growth geographically and into new markets in recent months has created the necessity for us to double our capacity."

New products, such as Mule-Hide for commercial modular applications, as well as the addition of distribution into new markets in the western U.S. have resulted in a dramatic increase in sales volume for the company. Improvements to the Watkins facility will allow Barrier to further expand production capacity, increase efficiency and create a state-of-the-art facility.

"This expansion really signifies the beginning of a new chapter in our development as a business," says Michael Huddy. "The fact that we are moving forward with this expansion is a testimony to our success in creating products that are valued by our customers."

In addition to the physical expansion, Huddy estimates the company will increase their workforce by about 30% to handle additional manufacturing, sales and administrative needs.

Editor's Note: The media is welcome to attend the groundbreaking ceremony which will be held at International Barrier Technology, Inc., 510 4th Street, Watkins, Minnesota on the west side of the existing facility.

COMPANY NEWS AND PRESS RELEASES FROM OTHER SOURCES:
International Barrier Technology, Inc. Reports $1,394,838 in Revenue to Date From Mule-Hide FR Deck Panels Contract

Fire Resistant Building Materials Company Reports 50,000th board is shipped in February 2005

WATKINS, Minn. & VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Mar 2, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- International Barrier Technology Inc. ("Barrier") (OTCBB:IBTGF) (TSX VENTURE:IBH), a manufacturer of proprietary fire resistant building materials has reported shipping the fifty thousandth Mule-Hide FR Deck Panel in February 2005. This brings the total revenue from the contract to $1,394,838. Barrier produces a proprietary fire rated product that is labelled and shipped as "Mule-Hide FR Deck Panels." These panels are an integral part of an Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. "listed" roof deck assembly used by modular building manufacturers all over the US. The first shipments to this market began in January 2004.

"Barrier is extremely pleased with the success of the Mule-Hide modular product program," said Dr. Michael Huddy, International Barrier's President. Mule-Hide, and their distribution affiliate, ABC Supply, Inc., continue to aggressively promote the new, UL Listed roof deck assemblies and systematically add new manufacturing customers to the family of facilities utilizing the Blazeguard based system. "With each new manufacturing company converted to the Blazeguard based system, Barrier is presented with a long-term, consistent customer helping to not only increase sales volume but to provide consistency in month to month business."

Mule-Hide Products, Inc. is pleased as well. "The FR Deck Panel continues to drive outstanding sales from our modular manufacturer customers," reports Kim Hendricks, President of Mule-Hide Products Company, Inc. "The panel met the market's need for an affordable, easy to install, fire rated roof deck assembly for commercial modular structures. Modular manufacturers now have an assembly that withstands high winds and fire while providing superior performance at a lower installed cost."

"The Mule-Hide Deck FR Panel is an important part of Barrier's strategy to add new product lines and applications for our proprietary fire retardant technology," states Huddy. "As we continue to grow, the Mule-Hide experience will provide a successful example of how companies can work together to fill market opportunities and provide significant financial return for their investment."

I think this will be a great one but it is going to take years. Look at the charts there is great support in the low .50s over the past 7 months.

I think if the word got out on this company it would fly just from the speculation. It is a great product. Maybe when they are featured on 'Business and Beyond' to be Aired on CNBC it will get more people interested.

This product is a sure thing. This is a great long hold. I am trying to free up some funds to get in.

Just imagine 5% of all new houses being built of this material in 10-20 years. Even 1%, that's a lot of houses!

OSU, any idea on the cost of this material compared to plywood? It's probably a pretty penny as the cost of plywood has skyrocketed in the last few years.

Nothing is a sure thing but I have alot of confidence in the product. The test speaks for itself.

They say the price is competitive. Blazeguard is the company's main product.

The Pyrotite technology is owned by the company. It actually releases water when exposed to heat of a fire. The potential of this technology could be huge.

No doubt about that. I can not believe that not many others have responded to this thread. You would think that if you lived in California in a wooded area, you would probably want to build, or rebuild your new home with this.

I think that the product is a sure thing; however no company is a sure thing.

The stock is traded relatively lightly traded. Most here are looking for quick trades. I say long term is the way to go. This company looks like they are forming a good base to expand the business.

All stocks are not long but through my experience it is better to hold stocks through ups and downs if you feel you have done good DD to back up why you bought it. I do buy and sell over weeks but this stock I am holding.

Some consider long 1 month. I say this is long term
buy. It is a small company so it has higher risk. But the potential return is great. I consider long to be years.

I am thinking about picking some up. I would like it to drop below .70 though. It did for one day in the first week of October but shot right back up the next day.

Well there last quater revenues were 1.35 Million up from 1.07 Million last year.

They have also received the Final Report from the International Code Congress. The evaluation services report enables Barrier to market its products throughout the US and other parts of the world where the newly adopted International Building Code (IBC) is being used to dictate building specifications.

So they should continue to build on there revenues.

News out today. Broke an all time record for most product shipped in one month. Great NEWS!!

Fire Resistant Building Materials Company Reports Record Monthly Sales Volume for November, 2005; November Sales at ''All Time High'' of US $625,458

WATKINS, Minn. & VANCOUVER, B.C., Dec 14, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- International Barrier Technology Inc. ("Barrier") (OTCBB:IBTGF) (TSX VENTURE:IBH), a manufacturer of proprietary fire resistant building materials, is pleased to report a record for monthly sales on shipments completed in November 2005. Six hundred eighty seven thousand, five hundred sq. ft. (687,500) of Blazeguard products were shipped in the month of November. The previous record of 606,800 sq.ft. was attained in June, 2004. November 2005 sales volumes were 34 percent higher than November 2004 sales of 513,200 sq.ft. Year to date fiscal year (July 1 through November 30, 2005), sales volume has increased to 2,777,900 sq.ft. from 1,983,500 sq.ft. in 2004, an improvement of 40 percent.
November sales revenue was also at an all time high of US $625,458. Fiscal year
to date sales revenue has increased to $2,384,440, an increase of 41.5 percent, from 2004.

"Historically, November has not been known as a stellar month for shipments. Typically, distributors are beginning to prepare for calendar year-end physical inventories and winter weather has already begun to disrupt building in some areas of the US", reports Michael Huddy, Ph.D., International Barrier's President and CEO. "Increased November sales are completely a reflection of increased market share in both the multifamily residential market as well as the commercial modular market we service through MuleHide Products, Inc. Distributors and builders are continuing to buy because the product is needed for an increased number of projects and applications. The fact that sales have continued to grow in this time period is a good indication of the potential for continued growth through 2006 and beyond."

"Our focus for 2006 remains on the successful start-up of the new production line in Watkins, MN and on continued growth in sales of Blazeguard," explains Dr. Huddy. Expanding Blazeguard sales into the priority geographies of the mid-west, California, and Texas, has been facilitated by the publication of the International Code Congress Evaluation Services Report which sanctions the use of Blazeguard wherever the International Building Code is used.

"The new production line, anticipated to be producing commercially early in 2006, will not only increase capacity threefold, it will create product features better suited for a variety of new products and market applications," explains Dr. Huddy. "The new line and production technology it represents will provide an appropriate prototype for potential licensing partners who may be interested in pursuing manufacturing opportunities for the Pyrotite technology." Barrier expects to successfully introduce new products and market applications in 2006, following the example and success of the MuleHide Products partnership in commercial modular sales which began in 2004.

International Barrier Technology - Fire Resistant Building Materials Company Reports Record Year-to-Date Revenue; Record Monthly and Quarterly Sales Volume for March, 2006; Year to Date Sales at ``All Time High'' of US $4,780,494

WATKINS, Minn. & VANCOUVER, Bristish Columbia, Apr 10, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- International Barrier Technology Inc. ("Barrier") (IBTGF) (IBH), a manufacturer of proprietary fire resistant building materials, is pleased to report record shipments for the month and quarter ending March 2006. Eight hundred fifty-one thousand, six hundred sq. ft. (851,600) of Blazeguard products were shipped in March eclipsing the previous monthly record of 693,700 sq.ft. set in December 2005 by 23%. Two million one hundred fifty-five thousand, four hundred sq. ft. (2,155,400) of Blazeguard products were shipped for the quarter ending March 31, 2006 which surpassed the previous quarterly record of 1,820,200 sq. ft. shipped in the quarter ending December 31, 2005.

Year to year March sales were 60% higher in 2006 relative to 2005 sales of 531,700 sq. ft. Year to year quarterly sales for the three month period ending March 31, 2006 were 58% higher than the 1,361,100 sq. ft. shipped for the same quarter in 2005.

Fiscal year to date sales revenue has increased to $4,780,494 an increase of 45%, from 2005.

Sales growth has been realized in both multifamily residential markets as well as the commercial modular market. Blazeguard(R) sales volumes into Florida, for instance, have increased to 1,118,000 square feet, an increase of 119% over the 510,000 square feet shipped there during the same quarter in 2005. Commercial modular sales to Mule-Hide increased 48% from 539,500 to 801,000 square feet.

In addition, Barrier's sales force has begun to achieve sales into the Midwest region multifamily residential market through the conversion of builders previously using alternative methods of attaining the required fire code. Sales orders continue to outpace last year's rate at record levels.

"Barrier is well positioned to sustain growth at a rapid, but manageable rate. Our focus for 2006 continues to be directed at sales volume growth and to shift the majority of our required production to the new manufacturing line. The new line is an integral and important step in achieving our goals of new market development and improved efficiencies of production. "Our continuing ability to increase market share by: adding new targeted sales geographies; create new product applications for our technology; and, by adding new builder customers in existing sales regions, will continue to help us grow significantly in the future. The fact that our new production line, being further implemented as we speak, is responsible for more and more of our manufactured volume and accounted for nearly 19% of our production volume for the month of June, 2006 insures that there is ample capacity for our growth in the near and mid-term."
