...next month, after tax. My short term goal is to bring this to $150,000 by X-mas. Right now, I'm looking to diversify between some relatively safe OTC-BBs (forgive the oxymoron), some NAZ small caps (i.e., those trading around $.80 - $1.50), as well as some trading around $3.00 - $5.00. Any thoughts on what stocks may be primed for an early fall/pre-election run...?

Thanx,
Jeff

Here's a few that might interest you. Check out IPI, FMDAY(started running on no news Fri), and CDED for pennies(buyout possibility).

Come to think of it...FL real estate might be even better

Good luck!

You might take a look at these small cap NAZ plays. Many are down at, or moving up off of, pretty good long term support (see SVVS, for instance), possibly gearing up for your "pre-election run". These were gathered mostly on a strictly TA basis (safe-to-short-term-bullish indicators), so you might want to do some DD on the fundamentals. I simply prefer the charts as the charts don't lie, they don't pump, they don't bash, they just "is", and anyone who ignores them just "is" an idiot.

Still my favorite for maybe even longer term is MEM. All you need to look at there is the inside buying and the people they had come on board this year. A very excellent company, had some blowout quarters until last earnings came out. Should be short lived.

Hey, thanx for all the pump-free picks, guys. Looks like some pretty solid ones too. I'll have my work cut out for me over the next few weeks, I'm sure, till I receive my funds. One thing I do plan on doing, Viz. trading, is not to take a loss - EVER! You can't control how much you make, but you sure as hell can control how much you loose. And I intend to limit losses (and there will be some) by keeping my trades tight as a drum. None of this "buy and hold" crap all the fund managers would have me (and all of us) do. If they dip, I'm out; if they go up, then it's all good and I stay in. I might loosen a stop after I get a leg up on something, but this is too much money not to be disciplined with... Again, thanx a bunch!

Felix

Felix, you just hit the nail on the head. You need to date and not marry these stocks - and when you see some "baggage" i.e. it goes down - you get out...

Try Sdgl on otc. One of very few otc co.s making a profit. Should make 2 cents this year when 3rd and 4th quarters come in. Just posted 8th consecutive profitable quarter. When market comes back (maybe in fall) this should be an easy double or more by end of year. Remember you heard it first from Man4!

Felix, I would also caution you against such a lofty target. While many of us would love to make 150% in a few months, it simply will not happen most likely. In fact, if this obscene target stays in your mind then it could affect your trading to the negative side. If I had $60,000 right now, I would buy gold and silver bullion and prepare for the second leg of the bear market. The asset bubble is about to pop and I wouldnt be caught dead being long anything when it does.

True, but going long precious metals is easier than shorting specific stocks. I was mostly questioning his 150% goal. While it is not impossible, it is most certainly improbable unless he spends 12 hours a day trading and researching. Even then, the best players on wall street dont have nearly that sort of track record. So in order to achieve his goal he would have to get lucky. I dont like basing a goal on getting lucky.

Hey guys, relax. That "150" was just a goal to shoot for. Kinda like when I run a marathon and shoot for under 3:00, but never make it under 4:00 (yet!) I don't "expect" to make this much off 60Gs, but I will be trying to, is all. However, with lesser amounts, I've made +90%, albeit in friendlier markets than our present mess. It's just about setting high goals for one's self, which is fine, as long as these are tempered by the awareness that absolutely every one out there would like nothing better than to prevent this from happening - LOL! Nonetheless, much appreciated.

I think tfct will double up, double up again and again. But I am not saying to put all your eggs in one basket either. I would however very much avoid gold right now, who would buy gold when it is not much off of its highest ever and I dont think it is going back.
