ALMI looking good today - no news but big volume + strong upward push. News is coming soon imho, that will make these levels look cheap. We will see. All my available funds are in ALMI now, but will take a look at FRCP also, haven't really studied them much.

huge volume today and nice bump up on no news for ALMI. my uneducated/purely-my-opinion guess is that after 2 more PR's (which should be soon) announcing the move to production/orders/etc, the next major resistance is going to be .30. one good PR and i'd be surprised if the resistance at .25 stood up much at all. as always, we shall see. long term - will be very surprised if ALMI doesn't break .50 by fall of 2005, even that would be a teeny $18M market cap.

Actually Almi may see .50 by year end 04 but it needs a contract announcement. It could actually see a dollar by this time next year with earnings coming in at approx. 6 cents per share as management has exclaimed and 12 cents next year. The next support would be .25 and the resistance between .40 and .50 and trade in this range for awhile. This is such a great co.

if anyone's still paying attention (my guess - bingo, glass, and not many others) - not a bad 10Q for ALMI today.

really, their 10Q's are almost meaningless at this point - it's all about the clay and the future. however, they had some decent revenue this Q that did a pretty good job offsetting costs, and still aren't all that far in the hole: their liabilities are still only a few K above their liabilities. upcoming clay profits should fairly quickly wipe out debt, imho.

the most impressive thing about the 10Q to me, which I had to dig up on the edgar online site to find? they diluted roughly 0.6% in the last 6 months, that's it. a little over 200k or maybe $30k in shares paid for services rendered, on a market cap of 37M o/s. especially considering the phase they are in now - building towards production but not raking in profits yet, that is amazing. bill jacobson continues to play it smart. look at all of other crap companies out there that litter the microcap board daily, so many of them dilute the crap out of their stock. i'll take 0.6% anyday - nice job, bill.

added in another 10k on dips this week. i can't imagine why people would sell at .18 right as they're about to enter production. but - i happily bought their shares. there's not many penny stocks i still own - have phased most funds towards larger cap. i'm very happy to still hold and add to my ALMI pile, though. i'm patient, i think it will pay off handsomely in the long run despite some short-term noise in the signal.

btw, some new folks have arrived recently asking for advice and the like from glass and crew.

for what little it's worth, my advice - you want to see quality DD? check out Purl Gurl's first-ever post about ALMI on this board, at the top of this thread:

wow! an absolute textbook case of how to DD a company. one of the "10 best" posts on allstocks ever, imho.

this is part of why it greatly saddens me that PG has departed allstocks, only to be replaced by too many "unregistered"'s pumping junk companies with their "DD" consisting of "buy this stok dude, itz gonna run bigg!". if you're still lurking Purl, you're missed. and not just for your stock insight, i greatly enjoyed your wit and spunk as well

Up again to .22 this am. Orders keep coming in! Force Protection, Inc. Announces New Request for Additional Armored Vehicles
Friday September 10, 10:00 am ET

LADSON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 2004--Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRCP - News), the leading manufacturer of mine-protected vehicles for military and security users, has received a request from an existing customer for an additional 15 "Buffalo" vehicles, to be put under contract as soon as possible. Deliveries are planned for the first quarter of 2005.
The configuration of these Buffalos will be essentially the same as the configuration of the 21 Buffalos currently being produced for the U. S. Army. The order has a value of about $10 million, although a related spares order, which has not yet been finalized, may push the total somewhat higher.

"This request underscores the critical need that Force Protection's vehicles continue to meet," said CEO Michael Watts. "We employ the most advanced ballistic and mine protected technology in the world and are clearly becoming the manufacturer of choice for those who want to protect and save lives. That the Buffalos in the field have done their job very well is of paramount importance."

The Buffalo combines advanced protection against landmines, IEDs (roadside bombs) and other blasts as well as small arms fire with state-of-the-art automotive components. It has multiple mission configurations and can be repaired in the field; it has been deployed with the U.S. Army in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Buffalos have taken numerous hits from landmines and IEDs but no serious casualties have resulted and the vehicles have been placed back into service. In addition, 14 Cougars have recently been committed for use by the U.S. Marines in Operation Iraqi Freedom II. The Cougar is also protected against mines, IEDs and small arms fire. The Cougar is smaller than the Buffalo and has been specifically configured to meet the needs of the Marines.

The additional Buffalos will be produced at the company's 225,000 square foot facility in Ladson, near Charleston, S.C.

About Force Protection, Inc.

Force Protection, Inc. manufactures ballistic and mine protected vehicles through its wholly owned subsidiary, Technical Solutions Group (TSG). These specialty, protected vehicles are protected against landmines, hostile fire, and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs, commonly referred to as roadside bombs). Force Protection's mine and ballistic protection technology is among the most advanced in the world. The vehicles are manufactured outside Charleston, S.C.
