I have been tracking GTEL for awhile now and it seems to be a solid company. A stock that is bound to make its investors money, but I can't figure out why we are still playing around at this low of a price. I am in and staying in but I need to see upward movement soon......

This stock is a long position. I agree .10 seems like the base. The pps will go through the roof when everything is in place. You seen how the reaction was on the test. Had alot of positive movement, then settled back to the base. What we need to see is the actual launch which will come in due time!!! Patience is what we all need and we will not be disappointed.
Sanswire Networks Sets Sites on Stratosphere

ATLANTA, Jul 20, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Sanswire Networks, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GlobeTel Communications Corp. (GTEL) announced today that it has turned all of its attention to launching a Stratellite into the stratosphere.

Sanswire's successful proof-of-concept demonstrations last week in Atlanta provided the Company with additional information that it will use to launch its first Stratellite into the stratosphere. The Company plans to announce its construction and launch schedule within the next two weeks.

Sanswire successfully demonstrated the wireless communications capabilities of the Stratellites during a two-day event last week at the Company's Atlanta headquarters. In order to best replicate the high-altitude flying conditions of its Stratellites, Sanswire mounted its wireless transmission platform on a specialized, high-altitude jet copter that was held in one geostationary position at an altitude of nearly three miles above the demonstration area.

The first of the two-day event was a private demonstration for Sanswire's international partners. Day two was open to the public and media. A series of antennas were mounted to the platform that received a wireless signal from an earth station and retransmitted the live signal to the demonstration area on the ground, allowing the Company to demonstrate the voice and data capabilities of the high-altitude wireless platform. The GPS guidance system was tested by using the system to guide and provide a holding coordinate for the aircraft.

"It's very difficult to simulate an airship flying at that altitude," said Michael K. Molen, CEO of Sanswire Networks. "We chose the high-altitude jet copter because it was able to function just like the Stratellites will, providing us with a great look at what we are up against. Also the jet copter was able to take the package to a much higher altitude than what we were originally planning on. The wireless proof-of-concept tests proved that this kind of platform has the capability of changing the face of wireless. We couldn't have been more pleased with the results. The successful tests and the financial support we are receiving from GlobeTel have allowed us to revisit our timeline for putting an airship in the stratosphere."

A Stratellite is similar to a satellite, but is stationed in the stratosphere rather than in orbit. At an altitude of only 65,000 feet, each Stratellite will have clear line-of-site communications capability to an entire major metropolitan area as well as being able to provide coverage across major rural areas. Several Stratellites linked together could cover many hundreds of thousands of square miles. The Stratellite will allow subscribers to easily communicate in "both directions" using readily available wireless devices. In addition to voice and data, proposed telecommunications uses include cellular, 3G/4G mobile, MMDS, paging, fixed wireless telephony, HDTV, real-time surveillance and others. To learn more about the Stratellites, visit Sanswire Network's website at http://www.sanswire.com.

GlobeTel Expands Wireless Applications

MIAMI, Jul 19, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- GlobeTel Communications Corp. (GTEL) is pleased to announce today the expansion of its wireless applications to fully integrate with its Magic Money Stored Value Program.

Currently GTEL's TXT card product provides wireless access to international calling card services via SMS messaging. However, new developments announced today will integrate TXT card features into GlobeTel's Stored Value Program directly as well as provide the ability to process financial transactions wirelessly, such as bill payments and money transfers.

Customers will be able to purchase low cost international calling cards or transfer money overseas via their cell phone as well as access many types of prepaid information services.

Premium content products and services, new calling card features like mobile conference Connect, and access to the lowest cost calling plans, independent of country location, are planned developments.

GTEL also announced new partnerships in the US with SMSaging and Movil1, who are SMS and Wireless specialists, who will partner with GTEL to provide the technical support needed to launch these initiatives in the US and UK in the 4th Quarter 2004.

These new products and applications will replace and enhance the initiatives announced earlier this year that were to be produced by Hybyte and Chris Tooley in the United Kingdom.

You are right all we need is patience. That is kinda of hard for me when dealling with penny stock, but we will see. I also agree in saying that the base is around .10. But we have spent a lot of time there. We need to get well past it and show some consistant upward movement to attract more attention and investors.

Good news today!!! I have been wondering when the startellite was finally going to go up in the air. I have been holding for quite some time. Now I have just 6 months for me to aquire aas many shares as I can before they fly that thing. Alot of good press about the magicmoney card too. With all these projects (magic phone, magic card and the stratellite). It will be a good year. For all those who have stayed on this roller coaster it is now coming back on top!!! And as stated before we are at a baseline waiting for the ride of a lifetime.

I am still holding on. The markets have been really bad for awhile now. I am confident that it will bounce back, just hopefully sooner than later. This company has held up for as bad as the pinks been lately, Still had some rough waters, but not as bad as alot of those other pinks.

From the PR's I have seen over the past month (especially the Aug 4 PR) it will be a while before this stock really goes anywhere. They still have one more test to do which won't be until Jan 2005 and then after that they will start launching their stratellites which will be sometime in later 2005. This should be a big stock after that, but until then, I don't see this going much higher than where it is now. The only thing that will make this pop for a short period of time is a good PR, however until they start showing continuous revenue, which they can't for now due to using any possible income on building the stratellites, this will be on hold until Jan or Feb 2005. Late Christmas present.

Steve, I agree with you. Right now the only trading I am doing on this is buying. Usually all the pink stocks that I own I buy and sell quick. This one I have alot of faith in and I will hold on for the long.... I do not want this to pop but climb when it is ready. This one is an investment not a day trade.

Sanswire is confident that the technology to be used for this month’s test also will work fine in the bigger commercial system. Perhaps the most challenging hurdle was the design of the balloon itself, which had to be changed so that one of two Kevlar envelopes containing the airship’s lighter-than-air gases would accommodate enough solar cells on its surface to provide the requisite power. “We’ve solved the energy problem,” Sanswire CEO Michael K. Molen boasted in a conversation with IEEE Spectrum.“ In fact, he said, the solar panels on their “stratellites”—so-called because they act like satellites but perch in the stratosphere—capture enough energy to run for 10 days with no light.

Molen acknowledged that an earlier design didn’t draw enough energy from the sun’s rays during the day to power the propellers that maintain the airship’s position and run the onboard electronics after dark. But its latest design, which is reminiscent of a whale, yielded much more skyward-facing surface, 5400 square meters, and so, more energy [see illustration].

Based on its technical progress, Sanswire, which is a subsidiary of GlobeTel Communications Corp., Pembroke Pine, Fla., has been busy working out agreements with communications companies in Australia, Europe, South America, the Caribbean, and Russia. Molen told Spectrum that the Australian government is serious about its push to provide broadband access to its 20 million residents. The fact that Australians are spread over an area roughly the size of the United States makes landlines and even terrestrial wireless base stations impractical, and the government is highly motivated to take a chance on something unorthodox, he says.

By early September, Sanswire’s Australian subsidiary will start building the full-size airship designed to remain at 20 000 meters for 18 months at a time. It is intended to come down only when technological advances make the onboard equipment outmoded. Molen told Spectrum that Sanswire expects to launch the stratellite by the third quarter of 2005.

I got this from another board. This is from someone who was able to make the meeting. I wish I could have been there but unfortunately, my schedule had too many conflicts to make it. I hope this answers any questions for those wondering about the share holder meeting.

GTEL Shareholder Meeting
First, as expected, all of the items in the proxy that were recommendations of the BOD passed.

Tim Huff
-BOD will make a decision in the very near future as to which exchange they will try to move to. (Leaning towards the AMEX)
-Goal is to be on the new exchange in Q1 of 2005.
-We are on track to do 50 to 60 million in Q4 of 2004.
-Any revenue guidance todate does not include any revenues from Sanswire
- The 15 million in capital was broken down as follows:
- 10 million for the magic money card for two operating locations, South America and Miami. Expect another location in the asian market
- 5 million for operating cash

Leigh Coleman,
-We will see some annoucments over the next week or two about 3 to 4 major contracts that have been signed.
-GTEL's Stored money card, todate, is the only card that can be used on an international basis for charge, telephone and remittenance.
-There is more opportunity for the stored money card now then they can handle.

Mike Molen (Sanswire)
-The test in January will be with a vehicle that is 1/5th of the full size model.
-The test will be conducted in Southern California and part of the testing will be open to the public.
-The US Gov will be heavily involved with the January testing.
-Other countries have expressed a great deal of interest. MIke said he gets on average 6 inquires a week from different governments and the private sector.
-It will take the ship 3 hours to get into position and 3 hours to bring it back
-I asked Mike about projected revenues and he stated that when talking with the financial community that they have been very conservative. Using only 1/4th of a very conservative estimate.

The meeting lasted about two hours total. I felt as though the Q and A portion could have lasted longer, however, Tim, Leigh, Mike and others were willing to stay around to answer a few more questions on a one on one basis.
