Asvaco Enhanced Capabilities to Support Homeland Security Initiatives, Announces New Strategic Alliances

***

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Idealsoft, Inc., the makers of the Asvaco Assessment Software & Services, announce major advancements in the functionality of its trendsetting Computer Based Assessment Tool (CBAT). Asvaco's team of law enforcement, military, and Software design engineers have created the most flexible assessment tools ever conceived. The Asvaco assessment modules have been built upon our country's current established assessment methodologies and standards. The tools also incorporate a change management feature that allows for immediate synchronization across the nation of any changes in the standards, regulations, methods and procedures as designated by the controlling entities of Homeland Security, Transportation Safety Administration, FEMA, First Responder communities, and all other governmental market segments (both Public and Private). Innovative features and user-friendly enhancements have been added to the Asvaco Engine(C) and the Asvaco G2(C) that elevate the field capabilities beyond what is available on the market today. With these new easy-to-use features the person in the field using the ASVACO Engine to perform emergency response assessments can integrate pictures, movies, voice narration, 360 x 360 spherical video, panoramic images, PowerPoint slides, PDF documents, Word documents, Excel Spreadsheets, and links to web pages. Asvaco tools directly interface with Microsoft Office 2003 applications. Asvaco can take full advantage of applications such as Excel to perform statistical analysis and produce the results graphically within Microsoft PowerPoint. These new versions also include Windows Media Player 9, enhancing the capability of playing stored video files or, in the case of wireless connectivity availability, can be utilized to stream live video within the Asvaco Hyper G2(C) application itself. This kind of capability is essential in assisting emergency management personnel to do their job safely, and mobilize/communicate with other first responder entities, such as hospitals, EMS and Fire, to enhance response and information sharing before, during and after emergency incident situations. Furthermore, tools like this will protect our nations Warfighters by reducing risk, creating force multiplication and force modernization. New Strategic Partnership Alliances: Asvaco is proud to announce that it has become a Groove Networks developer partner. By allowing first responders to perform Vulnerability Assessments (VAs) and then immediately share data and information with Federal agencies and law enforcement entities, Asvaco believes its solution can become a homeland security standard. With the announcement from Attorney General John Ashcroft last week identifying the new initiative of the FBI and other federal agencies to begin sharing de-classified anti-terrorism and crime data, the Asvaco solution, which utilizes Groove software's secure collaboration services, provides the answer and is available now for rapid mass deployment. "A perfect solution to save lives at the right time, at the right value." "We're excited to have Asvaco as a developer partner and look forward to working with them to deliver solutions that address the needs of first responders in the police and fire department communities," said John Giudice, director of partner evangelism, Groove Networks. In addition to Groove Networks, Asvaco(TM) announced today its partnership with Wizzard Software (OTC Bulletin Board: WIZD) who will provide speech technology for the solution, allowing pertinent data to be read "out-loud" using high-quality text-to-speech technology. By incorporating a speech feature, first responders will be able to listen to key information allowing them to keep their eyes and hands free to perform their jobs. "We believe Asvaco has built the premier solution for first responders and their organizations," says Chris Spencer, CEO Wizzard Software. "We feel it can become the standard for the industry and we are excited to be a part of their upcoming success." Wizzard Wins More Accessibility Business

***

Business Editors PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WIZD-- Wizzard Software (OTCBB:WIZD) announced today that as a result of the Company's recent efforts in the accessibility market, two of Wizzard's most significant customers have placed additional orders to license text-to-speech for their products. Assistive products aid people with learning and other disabilities in using computers, learning to speak and otherwise communicate in their daily lives. In the past year, Wizzard has licensed approximately 15 assistive technology providers in the accessibility market. A leading ATM manufacturer recently placed a second order with Wizzard for their growing Talking ATM initiative. This ATM manufacturer will add over 750 new Talking ATMs to their network using Wizzard's text-to-speech product offering. Also announced today, a leading accessibility software developer placed its fourth order for Wizzard text-to-speech products to include in their "screen reader" product line bringing the total talking screen readers to 40,000 units for this customer. Wizzard continues to emphasize the need for businesses to consider the number of people impacted by physical and mental impairments. Approximately 54 million people in the United States have a permanent disability or impairment. In addition, large numbers of people experience temporary impairments caused by illness or accident that impact their abilities on the job. The aging of the workforce adds another dimension. Consider that by 2008, 40 percent of the workforce will be comprised of baby boomers who will, in growing numbers, experience physical impairments due to the natural aging process. Providing technology that helps valued employees remain productive makes good business sense. Wizzard licenses core speech technologies for inclusion into our customer's proprietary applications. As these products are often brought to market under the customer's own brand names, Wizzard does not divulge the name of the licensed product or the licensee. About Wizzard Software Founded in 1996, Wizzard Software has become a leader in the speech technology application development market. Wizzard architects solutions to business problems using its expertise in consulting, speech development tools and building speech based applications for the Desktop and Internet. Wizzard has achieved global recognition because of its expertise with voice communication whether it is via PC or telephone. Wizzard's successes have lead to expanding opportunities in both the government and commercial sectors. More information can be found in Wizzard's Investor's Corner www.wizzardsoftware.com . Soar Technology Selects Wizzard Software for Speech Technologies; Voice Synthesis and Voice Recognition Capabilities for U.S. Special Operations Forces and the U.S. Army

***

High-Tech Writers / Business Editors ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WIZD-- Soar Technology, Inc., a leading developer of intelligent systems and intelligent software agents that generate human-like behavior, has signed an agreement with Wizzard Software to provide technologies licensed by Wizzard from IBM and AT&T that enable speech recognition and synthesis, for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) at Redstone Arsenal and U.S. Special Operations Forces PEO-STRI. The agreement provides for AT&T's Natural Voices text-to-speech software and IBM speech recognition software, both of which are licensed and supported by Wizzard Software Corporation (OTCBB:WIZD). SoarTech's project for AMRDEC will allow a pilot in a simulator or a Battle Master running an experiment to interact with SoarTech's intelligent agents through voice. A combination of speech recognition and intelligent behaviors will allow the agents to "hear" and understand the human voice and respond appropriately. Similarly, a combination of text-to-speech software and intelligent behaviors will allow the agents to communicate with humans through the very natural sounding voice synthesis. The finished module, which will be integrated with MAK Technology's VR-Forces, will be called Helo-Soar and will provide the Army with intelligent synthetic rotary wing capabilities that can be used in conceptual and performance trade studies, as well as training and other analysis applications where man-in-the-loop simulations are used in conjunction with synthetic forces. This Phase II contract is sponsored through the U.S. Government's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. In a second project for the U.S. Special Operations Forces PEO-STRI, a human Forward Air Controller trainee will be able to task and communicate with Soar Technology's TacAir-Soar intelligent agents through the same combination of software, i.e., intelligent behaviors, text-to-speech software and speech recognition software. TacAir-Soar is the largest production system in use today and provides pilot emulation capabilities for fixed wing aircraft such as the F-16, A-10, and B-52. "We are very excited about both of these projects and I think our customers, the U.S. Army, and Special Operations Forces feel the same way. When we demonstrated our intelligent agents in conjunction with the software Wizzard provided us, they were impressed. In particular, the quality of AT&T's Natural Voices text-to-speech is leaps ahead of what was previously available. In fact, it's probably leaps ahead of anything else on the market right now." said Al Wallace, Program Manager for both projects and Chief Operating Officer for Soar Technology. "It was also a pleasure to work with Wizzard Software, especially Alan Costilo. I talked with Alan quite a bit to ensure that what we'd be delivering to the government would meet or exceed their expectations." About Soar Technology, Inc. Soar Technology, Inc. specializes in development of intelligent autonomous agent-based software for simulation environments, unmanned vehicles, and command and control. For military training, mission rehearsal and experimentation, SoarTech's computer generated forces (CGFs) provide high-fidelity, autonomous behaviors that increase realism and reduce cost. Once tasked with a mission, they plan their actions, coordinate their behaviors and react to new information according to appropriate doctrine and tactics, and without human supervision. They communicate and can be retasked through radio and voice commands. For more information, call 734-327-8000 or visit www.soartech.com. Wizzard Software Corp. & MedivoxRx Technologies Inc. Continue Developments of ``Rex'', the Talking Prescription Bottle

***

Health/Medical Writers / High-Tech Writers / Business Editors PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WIZD-- Wizzard Software Corp. (OTCBB:WIZD) and MedivoxRx Technologies Inc., a division of Wizzard, has announced they are in the process of completing development of the next generation of "Rex", their talking pill bottle, for release in the next 90 days. The new version of "Rex" is fully automated through text-to-speech technology, allowing pharmacists to electronically record the label information to the pill bottle in a natural sounding computer generated voice using the pharmacy's current software and data. Not only will this increase the speed of recording to the bottle by making it a one-step process, it also eliminates room for error by transferring information directly from the pharmacy's existing database as opposed to the pharmacist recording the information. Created by a VA Pharmacist and VIST coordinator who recognized the need for an assistive aid device for seeing impaired individuals, the current version of Rex is an inexpensive, convenient and completely self-contained device that allows users to hear prescription information and instructions with the push of a button. The latest version is currently in use by VA pharmacies, certain state agencies, private agencies, and individuals. The current version of Rex has already tested positively with many visually impaired individuals. Bill Scott, 42 of Portland, Oregon, lost his sight in a bad car accident nearly six years ago. "Whenever I had a bunch of medications that I had to take at the same time, I would mark the bottles with rubber bands. One rubber band meant this, and two rubber bands meant that. I would get confused sometimes and would not take my medicine until I could get a sighted person to come to my house and help me out. I knew there had to be a better way to keep track of my medicine. I was introduced to the talking pill bottles at a National Federation for the Blind convention in Louisville, Kentucky and have been using them ever since. I've talked to many people who have vision impairment, and they think it's a great idea. It's definitely helped my independence. I can go into my medicine cabinet, and whether it's aspirin or a prescription pill, it's a lot easier to know what I'm taking. It's so great that you can feel that much more independent because you have control over your medication." Erna Reves of Nashville, Illinois has been using the talking bottles since late 2003. "I'm 90 years old and have macular degeneration, diabetes, and osteoporosis. I have to take all different kinds of pills, and the bottles make it easy for me to fill up my pill box for the week. All I have to do is press the button, it tells me exactly what I need to know, and I can have all my daily dosages. I think it's wonderful!" Rex not only benefits the individual user, the issuing pharmacy, and the healthcare system. There are approximately 3.2 billion prescriptions filled each year in the U.S. and pharmaceutical errors create $45-$80 billion in additional medical spending with the number one error being identified as labeling problems and education. Wizzard also plans to eventually make the talking bottles available in retail pharmacies throughout the world. For more information on MedivoxRx and to hear an audio sample of the talking bottle, please visit www.rxtalks.com. Wizzard's successes have lead to expanding opportunities in both the government and commercial sectors. In April of 2004, Wizzard acquired the Pittsford, NY company MedivoxRx Technologies. Founded in 2000, MedivoxRx is the originator of "Rex", the talking prescription pill bottle, which "talks" to the patient, allowing them to distinguish what type of medication is in the bottle and hear information on dosage and refill instructions.
