A string of twenty-four railway boxcars has a locomotive attached to each end, with those locomotives attached facing in opposite directions.
When this string of boxcars is in motion, in which direction does it travel, forwards or backwards?
That is SEC rule OU812
hhMMM? PG which direction are you facing when you ask the question?

He got in prior to the ipo by being a investor in the company it is not considerd insider trading if the company is not public there for needing funds to start the project would allow him to buy shares at .10. It is alot riskier investing for there are alot of uncertainties and speculation to how the company will turn out but as you can see some are very rewarding =-)

I'm sitting here trying to figure out how much of my cash I can safely spend on this trading day. Lot easier the other way, new cash simply wasn't there!
Make sense of this. Before you could not buy stocks for three days with new funds. Now you cannot sell stocks for three days bought with new funds.
I am having difficulty understanding how this policy change benefits me.

promoter- simple definition--DNA sequence that turns on/off another DNA sequence-- inhibiting specific promoters in chicken embryos has in fact (as published in SCIENCE) allowed chicken embryos to develop without beaks---they had a set of teeth like something from the Crichton stories.
we are going to see a lot of disturbing things like this in the next few years--the DNA mystery is unraveling more every day and will lead to a technological as well as spiritual revolution in our natural lives--many myths will be proven and disspelled

Told you chickens do not have teeth. They just have a tooth.

Glass,
I'm an immigrant. Lucky enough to be "legal". I have to tell you that I somewhat resent your allusions and implications about "illegals" flocking here. Unless you happen to be a native american, your presence in this country and the citizenship you enjoy stems from the desire of a couple of people somewhere in Europe to have a better life. It's not certain they were all "legals" initially. Anyone in the middle of the Amazonian jungle of in the middle of the mexican desert is entitled to entertain the same dream, and try to achieve it. Secondly, you should know that immigrating in this country - legally or not - is not as easy as you think. Your great great great grandfather would probably confirm that to you.

Chessco----I have stated numerous times that legal immigration in a controlled fashion is a good thing-- BUT
ILLEGAL activity of any kind is just that---
this is one of those crimes that is being perpetrated not by poor immigrants looking for a better life--it is a crime of SLAVERY being perpetrated by wealthy white collar criminals-- by undercutting the fair/free job market and facilitating the importation of SLAVE labor they are stealing from all law abiding citizens--- I have in fact assisted Vietnamese refugees enter this country legally-I have been to numerous third world countries and seen what these people are leaving behind---
--even the 'native americans' came here on boats---the way that my ancestors treated the native americans that were here is apalling to me-- my mention of being packed in like sardines is true--and many many people die trying to get here. They would not be willing to do this if they had better alternatives---I suggest that those alternatives ARE NOT being devloped because of simple GREED. Do not assume that i am a racist---i am not.

Chessco--I would also like to point out to you that most immigrants to this country from Europe were ESCAPING --- religious fanatics have been whitewashed in the history books--in fact the Puritans and the Quakers and several other lesser known groups were OUTCAST in European society
Many people were sent here as an alternative to jail--
The largest portion of the Irish came here because of Famine----
--younger siblings of wealthy noble families were shipped here to protect the family because they would inherit NOTHING under feudal laws--so they got them out of their old country to prevent murder of the elder siblings---
Of course the ABSOLUTE WORST-- many were brought here in chains
And those people came to a country with NO INFRASTRUCTURE--so don't try to tell me that the situations are equal--What people are coming here for today IS NOT what my ancestors came here for. They had little hope of getting rich in the US before the end of World War 2---economic fact of life--how many were dying to come here during the Great Depression?
posted
Glassman, "ESCAPING" religious intolerance, or the prospect of going to jail, or famine, or the prospect of having no inheritance to live on, and moving to another country/continent is done in hope of a better life in the new country/continent.
People who immigrate - even today - do not only do so because they dream of becoming rich in their country of destination. The economic woes they flee are usually the consequences of some sort of ethnic, social or religious discrimination. More often than people think, that is what they try to get away from, in the first place. Of course they also hope for a brighter economic future. There may not have been infrastructures in America at the time, but there was potentially plenty of land up for grabs. And as you know, land was the primary element/component of wealth in those times.
I did not imply that you are a racist. I'm not one to use the "R" word lightly. I've observed much more racism, tribal and ethnic divisions/oppression amongst the different groups living in poor countries than in western countries.
However, remember that You, We can type these posts today thanks to the work of a first generation immigrant named Charles Simonyi (principal developer of word processing and the WYSIWYG concepts and applications). He came here in hope of becoming rich, and last time I read about him, he was sharing his time between his 20,000 square feet house, his sailbot and the NATO fighter jet he'd just purchased. LOL.

Having slept on this and reread my posts from last night--I realise that i may have been excessively strident in my response. My statements about the illegal immigration issue need better explanation. The Mexican issue is one that i do understand to a small degree. I do not pretend to fully understand some of the finer points--but the generalities are fairly obvius to me. I invite CORRECTIONS to my perceptions--i do want to fully understand these issues.
Mexico is a nation with as much history as the US. The fact that Mexico sends a significant number of illegal aliens to US as a matter of policy may not be on the record, but look at the cash flow for the truth of the matter. The last figures that i saw showed that Mexico's second leading "industry" is in fact cash flow into the the country from immigrants(legal and illegal)sending money home. The social implications of this are a nightmare. First--how many Mexican families are being broken up to implement this? Second- Our infrastructure is being strained dramatically to support this as well. My children attended public school in southern california for several years. An elementary school located one block from one of the leading universities in the country had three times the number of kids attending it than it was designed for. The staff performs MIRACLES all day long to get these kids educated. Am i complaining? Hell no---i want to see MORE money go to these schools because they are the people i will be counting on to pick up where i leave off. Fact is-- the money is not going there because the parents of these kids are not paying into the tax base "FULLY". Yes the fruit of their labor benefits society, but the people hiring them are the real thieves. I can only speculate about how all of the book keeping tricks are performed. I can come up with a dozen different schemes myself, without an MBA. All of them divert the extra profit away from the tax base.
The lifeblood of America has been and remains--not the internet--but the highway system conceived of and started immediately after the second world war. The internet will be the lifeblood of the world soon, but you still can't get food and toilet paper through it. Drive around southern cal for a few days. The highways there are/were(as of 2001) an abomination. They have not been properly maintained. There is/was(two yrs ago) one major artery running thru Riverside San bernadino that many people actually pull over on because they think they have a flat tire.California is being strained to the breaking point due to inconsistant immigration policy. By the way Riverside San bernadino is currently rated one of the BEST major US cities to start up a business in.
As far as giving amnesty to illegals? All that does is encourage more. The American way of life cannot be understood until you live it. Even then it has so many levels that you can't say that there really is an American Way of life. What brings people here is their imaginations---we feed that with Hollywood and TV--what little is known of us is based on shows like-jeez-what a nightmare--the Brady Bunch?LOL I thnk you get the point. My statement to PG that she should prominently post those pix is because they really are a hidden truth to the people dreaming of living in America. The truth is that most first generation people coming to america are going to live like that at best---i have seen the worst--it is not pretty.
The policies that are in place are not working--like the war on drugs it is a SHAM.
