Just wondering what everybody is thinking about Boston Scientific. They are supposed to announce sometime this week (was supposed to be as early as monday) the approval of their new drug coated stent. I have been reading a lot about this company. From the reports I have read, their stent is supposed to produce 1.3-1.7 bln in revenue the first year alone. Also, the stent is supposed to swallow up 50% of the stent market.....top execs are claiming as high as 70%.
The only competition is JNJ and GDT whom have teamed up to market JNJ's stent. However, reports I have read are saying that physicians prefer BSX's stent because of it is much easier to work with.
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this. I want to buy in tomorrow before this stock moves. Any input would be much appreciated.
