Stock of the week No new stock of the week.
Companies in the news On Monday we had another great release by H-Quotient, Inc., (HQNT). The company finalized a contract that will add more than $1.4 million to 1st Quarter revenue because it expects to complete its delivery obligations by March 31, 2004.
President and CEO Douglas Cohn said, "This contract provides near-term revenue, which meshes with our overall business plan that combines short and long-term contracts to establish a substantial pipeline. To reach this point, we first established a strong financial, near debt-free base that has enabled us to provide long-term customer-friendly terms. Such terms have placed us in a particularly competitive market position that bodes well for the rapid expansion of the business."
And on Friday H-Quotient announced another contract possibly worth $900,000. This contract includes the sale and licensing of software. Initial revenue is expected to be $250,000 and royalty revenue is expected to be in the range of $400,000 to $700,000.
President and CEO Douglas Cohn said, "This is another in a series of anticipated contract announcements."
Bill Mathews also named HQNT 'stock of the year' in the Dick Davis Digest.

I don't know how true it is but I overheard a few elite stockpickers saying HQNT will come off BB soon. I guess only time will tell, nonetheless just look at headlines and the chart and this one is a real winner.

(QUOTE) -Quotient Provides Dividend Details Friday, March 5, 2004 09:43 AM ET Printer-friendly version
VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 2004--H-Quotient, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: HQNT, news) provided details on its year-end dividend. The year-end dividend of $.02 per share is in addition to the quarterly dividends. It is payable to stockholders of record as of March 15, 2004, and is payable on or before April 30, 2004.
To become a stockholder of record, investors typically must purchase the stock three business days prior to the record date or, in the alternative, one business day prior to the record date if they instruct their brokers to execute the trade on a "next day" basis.
The dividend will be paid in listed securities. Listed securities are stocks traded on the NASDAQ, New York Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange. The specific security (securities) will be specified on the payment date.
The Company paid dividends of $.01 per share for the 2nd and 3rd Quarters of 2003 and declared a dividend of $.02 per share for the 4th Quarter of 2003 and an additional year-end dividend of $.02 per share.
LOOOOK! Stockholders' shares held in margin accounts can be loaned to short sellers. In this event, dividends paid to you are taxed as ordinary income rather than at the 15 percent rate. This can be prevented by placing your shares in a "cash" account rather than a "margin" account or by holding your shares in certificate form. LOOOOOL!

I have a question abou this part: "The dividend will be paid in listed securities. Listed securities are stocks traded on the NASDAQ, New York Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange. The specific security (securities) will be specified on the payment date. "
Does anyone know which listed security we will be paid in? I'm assuming we're getting our dividends as if we were all in DRIP programs and getting more HQNT. What did shareholders get last year?

Pop I think the only base you are going to see is in the 1.37 range. I think it is unlucky to have closed at this but is already up after market. I am in at a higher price than I wanted, but I think once this damn thing gets past 1.5 it will continue on. Well I can always hope can't I?

I can see Hqnt going to $1.20. The trend has changed. Unless we see great news soon it looks like Hqnt is going lower. imo

pop - Back on 2/12/01 HQNT made an unsolicited offer for Apache Medical which was rejected. Apache Medical may now be RGBI.OB which was active today. May be just a coincidence.
