On this thread, let's identify all the sectors of the business world. It is possible to arrange sectors in a hierarchy, but to simplify matters, we'll utilize only the top two levels. For example, we can have a root level sector called the Energy sector, and a child sector called the Oil and Gas sector, and another child sector called the Alternative Energy sector. The convention for denoting root and child sector will be: Energy-->Oil and Gas.

Once we have all or most of the sectors down, we can start identifying the key types of data for stocks of those sectors. That will ultimately lead us to 1) segmenting stocks into their sectors, and 2) compiling information sector relevant information about stocks. In the end, we'll be able to see the strengths of individual stocks within their sectors, thus enabling us to capitalize on hot sectors in the most profitable manner possible. [Smile]

I admire your motivation and endurance! Will try to get involved in your efforts at some point. Quick question: where do I get a complete alphabetic list of all bb and all pk stocks?

blake I'm glad someone is stepping up to the plate as I have lost the ability to continue developing this forum. That's it, as usually happens with forums, the creator is leaving it up to the public to fill it, while taking on a passive moderator role.

Here are the places where you can get a complete list of penny stocks:

http://otcbb.com/static/symbol.stm

and
