This is a food safety play. Their technology (ozonated water) prevents e coli, salmonella and many other food borne pathogens.

They have landed contracts with some grocery chains, including Whole Foods markets and are expected to announce additional contracts with national restaurant chains.

Higher than average volume for the past week.

Eco-Safe Receives New Order for Delivery of Seven Ozone Disinfection Systems
Press Release

Eco-Safe Systems USA, Inc. (Pinksheets:ESFS - News) is pleased to announce an order from a medium sized supermarket chain for seven Eco-Safe Ozone Disinfection Systems. This order, together with previous orders, will result in Eco-Safe Systems being utilized in more than half of their supermarket locations.

Michael Elliot, President of Eco-Safe, stated, "This customer's order is more than 500% greater than any of their previous orders, and demonstrates growing recognition of the benefits of Eco-Safe's Ozone Disinfection on the part of aggressive supermarket management."

Elliot continued, "We anticipate further orders from this same customer in the near future and are organizing our installation department to meet what could be a major increase in volume from the supermarket sector. While this is one of our largest orders to date from a single chain, we feel it is merely the 'tip of the iceberg' and are gearing up for a substantial increase in volume. We are particularly encouraged by the motivation of the buyer which, in this challenging economy, appears to be acknowledgment of the day-to-day improvement of the bottom-line profit, as much as the food safety factor. This is another positive step toward realizing our projection of a 500% increase in revenue in 2009."

About Eco-Safe Systems:

Best Green Stock of 2010

The stars are aligning for Eco-SafeUSA, Inc.

March 12, 2010

Imagine picked lettuce staying fresh for 21 days. Imagine fresh seafood, poultry, and meat remaining free of morbid Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and 200 other pathogens. Impossible idea, you say? Eco-Safe can accomplish this and more quite handily.

Eco-SafeUSA, Inc. manufactures, sells and leases a line of patent-pending machines that join ozone (O3) with water (H2O) to create Nature's safest and most powerful disinfectant and germicide. Merely opening the tap of such a machine allows the user to instantly sanitize food products, preparation surfaces, food equipment and facilities. Eco-Safe even builds machines of the same principle that reclaim industrial wastewater, launder clothes without harsh chemicals or hot water, and create water perfect for drinking, cooking or cleaning.

Some Features of Eco-SafeUSA’s Ozonated Water Intervention Systems:

1. Destroys bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi that can cause illness or death.
2. Obviates application of dangerous problematic pesticides, bactericides, or chlorine.
3. Kills germs on contact 10 times more effectively and 3000 times faster than standard chlorine wash. (1)(2)
4. Even chlorine-resistant Cryptosporidium succumbs to ozonated water. (2)
5. The sole byproduct of ozonated water is pure oxygen, the life force.

What about the FDA?
The FDA has qualms about chlorine treatment of meat, poultry, seafood, and fresh produce. By default, chlorine has long been a commonly used disinfectant in the food industry. Ozone (approved 2001 by FDA for food uses) offers superior alternative to hazardous chemical treatment of foods, food preparation surfaces, food equipment and facilities. Senate bill S.510 FDA Food Safety Modernization Act is the first sweeping and stringent change to a 1938 law that dealt with food and drugs. The bill, if passed into law, may push the entire food industry to favor non-toxic ozonated water cleansing over dicey chlorine in order to achieve maximum food safety.

Eco-SafeUSA’s Ozonated Water Intervention Systems are compliant with FDA, USDA, and HAACP guidelines and have also received NSF and Organic certifications.

The Writing on the Wall
When FDA approved ozone treatment of food in 2001, the principals of Eco-SafeUSA seized the opportunity full tilt. CEO Michael Elliot and CTO Michael McCluney co-invented the Company's ozone-water intervention systems and hold patents pending. By shrewdly anticipating a sea change in food safety demands, the Company has had years to firmly establish proof of concept and reputation for quality and performance. Their head start in serving the grocery, restaurant, and food processing industries has yielded EcoSafeUSA a commanding presence in a tidy market niche they now dominate. Company anticipates a dramatic nationwide expansion of their ozonated water intervention systems.

Status Quo Not an Option

Meanwhile, the food and food service industries cannot but see the ruinous consequences of massive recalls and vengeful lawsuits pursuant to food contamination. Goaded by government, trial lawyers, and public fury, these firms have no choice except to find effective and economical solutions. That is why a growing legion of supermarkets, restaurants and processors of food are turning to Eco-SafeUSA.

Footnotes:
(1) This study was commissioned by Eco-Safe upon the request of a large fast-food restaurant chain. The study was designed through the joint efforts of Dr. Al Baroudi, President of Food Safety Institute, International (FSI) and the restaurant chain mentioned previously, and was executed by a reputable third party commercial institution licensed to handle and study pathogenic bacteria in the U.S. The data generated in this study proved the Eco-Safe ozone wash procedure to be 10 times more effective than a 20 parts per million (ppm) chlorine wash on produce tested with a high bacterial load. Chlorine at 20 ppm is the historical disinfectant of choice when a kill intervention process is applied for produce items destined for public consumption in the fast food and retail foodservice industry.

(2) Ozone kills bacteria on contact -- at levels 3100 times faster than chlorine -- and it is the most potent bactericide known. Scientists from Michigan State University confirmed that ozone was extremely effective in ridding water of hazardous pathogens, including chlorine-resistant Cryptosporidium.

I like this company a lot. Been picking up more on dips. And it looks like we could be breaking out. Check out the chart thru last week - it signaled a buy on All Allan:

The float is pretty small. Any good news should be a catalyst to drive us higher. Maybe a lot higher.
