After a nice run up in August and Sept. this has been trading in a downward channel. It has now broken that trend to the upside with increasing volume. Support in the .35 area and resistance in the .45 and .55 areas. I think this will test the high of .66 in the coming days, IMHO.

Put it in your watch list and keep an eye on volume.

NMEN (.34) Announces Worldwide Patents and Validation for Multilayer Disc Technology
1/11/2007

Format Flexibility and Strong Patent Portfolio Position NME to Help Solve High-Definition Storage Market Needs

LOS ANGELES, Jan 11, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --
New Medium Enterprises, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NMEN), an optical and electronic technology company, today announced it has secured worldwide patents surrounding its high-capacity Versatile Multilayer Disc (VMD) technology. VMD technology provides up to eight information layers on each side of a disc and can be utilized for both blue laser and red laser formats, thereby offering numerous and greater content options and business opportunities for the high-definition and content ecosystem. VMD is applicable for single- and double-sided discs and a multiplicity of formats, including Blu-ray and HD-DVD.

The comprehensive NME patents, outlining the basic principles and method of cost-effective mass manufacturing of multilayer discs, were filed initially in 2004 and have now been extended through most of the industrial world. The patents cover the principles of NME's break-through modified 2P process, which involves producing more than two layers on a single-sided disc, and will allow for the first time the replication of multilayer discs with the production yield and subsequent production costs comparable to current DVD production. The patent also covers the general set-up of a VMD production line and method of playing-back multilayer discs.

"NME is the first company to perfect a commercially-viable 2P process -- and a cost-efficient, high-yield 2P process, or a modification of this, is crucial to the mass production of multilayer discs," said Eugene Levich, NME CTO. "This technological imperative transcends the issue of formats and, since the current trend is a proliferation of high-definition standards, the only way to achieve compatibility between these standards is through multilayering."

VMD technology has been validated by established Netherlands-based replicator VDL ODMS, and NME has entered into a production agreement with the replicator to produce the mass production machinery based on standard DVD equipment augmented by groundbreaking VMD 2P technology. The full VMD production line will be unveiled later this year.

"Our scientists and engineers have been working to perfect the 2P process for years, while many others abandoned this process as too costly and complex," said Mahesh Jayanarayan, NME CEO. "With the validation of VMD technology by an established replicator and our strong patent portfolio in multilayer disc technology, we are excited about our position to help provide answers and low cost solutions to the high-definition disc debate."

No Problem, bagman. There are a few things I liked about this stock from a DD perspective. First third party verification. THey have been reviewed by outside publications so that we have more to go on than company PR's and filings alone. I was also impressed with the website. A lot of thought went into it including the investor page which provided information as well and Market Maker information. I like the transparency here.

I agree with you from a TA perspective that we could easily see the high's of .66 again. The factor that I also see is that the company is putting out information about the product which means there is potential to create new investors by getting their story out.

I know that stocks are a crap shoot but at least here there is some solid info to go on. I picked this up off the news the other day and thing the chart is looking good. Only need some volume.

Some nice movement since we alerted. Keep an eye on volume and if it slows look for a small pull back.
