Nice....with a bow too! I didnt get to it this year =( You have any game cams?

I am too busy chasing heffers in the fields to hunt the deer. I sure could use some good deer sausage to cook with!

I know man, I havent gone hunting since 2008!!!! I got a nice 160 acres full of deer and a nice deer stand set up high along a small creek at the edge of a woodline and a field. People are always asking me if they can hunt on it. Maybe I can get some spring turkey coming up.

There are some things every man should know how to do. Hunting and Fishing for sure, unhooking a bra with one hand, spotting fake breasts, drive a manual, use a grill, shave correctly, and make good drinks.

nice one...

I haven't been able to hunt in years. My brother-in-law got a 12-point opening weekend (gun season). Of course, our deer are not as large as what ya'll got up there, but it was very good for this neck of the woods.

never hunted a deer.....love to hunt fish tho! Are bigger ones better to shoot?..Do they taste better?.Are they tougher to eat?..Do you stalk them?..I always thought sitting in a stand and waiting for them to walk by is kind of a girly way to hunt. I dont think Buck hunts like that..at least I hope not..He seems like more of a man ,,to me,at least. Its seems to me that it would be more fun to hunt //oh, maybe something harder to hit..like a squirrel or rabbit...something of that nature..maybe a duck..with a bow!..now that would be an accomplshment!..but a deer?..too easy! I know you have to hit them in the right place or they will run (*******s!)and you may never find them. I think bow hunting is fun and more skillful than a gun..but arent you more apt to miss?..and then have a wounded deer running thru the woods?..You look good, tho, Buck..like a real man.Nice outfit and your Don Johnson beard really accentuates that "look" you guys go for. Congrats on your "kill".

LMAO...Jordan, you really need to get off the drugs and alcohol for a while and experience the outdoors. I will try and answer your sarcasm, err I mean "questions", as best I can.

1. Yes, bigger deer are much harder to "kill"
2. Taste the same
3. Not if you grind them into burger
4. Nearly impossible to stalk a whitetail...but I am sure that you, with your superior mind and skills, could pull it off.
5. I do hunt Turkey with a bow
6. You can miss and wound any animal with any weapon you use...I personally, take the responsibility of making a clean "kill" on an animal very seriously, therefore I have become very skilled with weapons that I use (I could shoot an apple off your head with my bow if you want me to show you)
7. Thanks, I think I am in fairly good shape for my age.
8. The beard is not a "look", it is what happens naturally when you don't have the facilities to shave for a week...

nice response....some was tongue and cheek..some was complimentary..you can figure out which

My knees make it impossible to walk in a normal way,,so I have had to give up a great portion of my life..otherwise I would love to get out in the woods..I usta...I usta do a lot of outdoor stuff...I am an outdoor guy..always have been.I have damm near played every sport and excelled at many.was a racquetball champ in A division..have won many amateur golf tourneys..went to state softball as a shortstop..got to the quarters at college level tennis, cut short by my short golf excursion into the midwest circuit.....hiked the gunflint many times.. I could put 3 shots inside a quarter at 25 paces with no scope, it was good at the time.. Have hunted..never cared for it much..but I appreciate someone who has artistic skill...and i think shooting a bow with great skill is an art. So you are an artist!...and , thus, my congratulations. You seem like a well rounded and grounded man and I enjoy mant , if not all, of your posts. And I dont drink anymore..but I cant turn down a good smoke..

Didn't see this thread for some reason, Buck. Good work with that bow. What poundage do you use? I haven't shot anything but haybails myself but love it when I get the chance.

Good eating!

Very nice. That's not a light draw by any means. Gives you what, 600-700 fps on release? I've read good things about the Mathews, is it all the reviews claim it is?

I shoot the Mathews Outback and I get about 310 fps (approximately 210 mph) but I have a long draw length, which helps...Mathews makes a great bow, been shooting their bows for about 10 years now and wouldn't even consider anything else. I shot one of their new Z7 Extreme bows last week...that is one smooth faaaaasssst bow...pricey though, about $900.00 for a bare bow...

Next time you go on a date and it's bad, just stand up and say "I'm an actor, they're all actors, and you're on MTV's disaster date!" and run out...

We are allowed to shoot two bucks, one of them is restricted to 4 or more points on one side, and we can buy 5 doe tags per day for the entire season...

I can legally shoot 452 deer per season, but I normally shoot about 5 or 6 a year...

I used to hunt all the time.....still hunting.....never was a big fan of hunting with dogs, but I have a lot of friends that do.

I have thought about getting into hog hunting with dogs.....I have pits and it seems like it would be fun, but I love dogs and they can get hurt sometimes doing that....I don't really have the stomache for seeing hurt dogs.

I have some buddies that hog hunt with dogs and by all accounts that I have heard the dogs love it.....I don't know.

But back to deer hunting.....I joined a club last year after my divorce thinking that I would have time to start going again.....a complete waste of my money (and it wasn't cheap). I didn't go a single time......in fact, I don't even know exactly where the club is.

When I did hunt, I always killed plenty of deer. However Buckstalker's recent kill probably beats out any dear that I have ever killed. There are plenty of nice bucks in my part of Georgia if you hunt on farmland or plantations. I always hunted close to the Ogeechee river and swamp bucks don't tend to develope such nice racks.

I have filled up many a freezer in the past and not a single trophy to show for it......On the other hand I have an old friend that can't put on camofluage with killing a "coat rack."

Let me know how that goes.......I guess people do it, but I wont be one of them.

Never been Elk hunting, but that is a big azz animal at close range.

If I were you, I think that I would have a 300 magnum with me......just to be safe.

Elk make me twitchy... i have the need for speed, but in Colorado at night i slow down or drive behind tractor trailers....

i saw a couple of sedans that hit elk, and i'd rather hit parked car than that.... they roll up on the hood and take out the windsheild and (partially) peel back the roof...
