Up at a bar with some friends, and you know your meeting people and this guy that stopped by our table (we had many more women than dudes so naturally its where its at, hey its just how I roll but thats besides the point)
Ok so this guy is straight up Canadian you can hear it in his voice, it almost sounds Scotish but it was more Irish. He was from Newfoundland. Anyway, so I ask him what his taxes are like because he made a decent wage. He said a little over 40% of his income was taken, and that didnt seem out of the ordinary to me. So I ask him about his health care and what its like...you know straight from the horses mouth instead from what we see on Fox or MSNBC. He said for sure they have much longer waits to see the doctor. He said the wait at the doctor is usually 4 hours for him (although he said he doesnt pay). He said it was very similar to Italy...and I thought great. He said he could tell our nation was trying to become more socialized and up in Canada they notice it more than we do ourselves.
We just had news articles come out last week about how we can expect:
"We're starting out with crowded conditions and anticipating things will only get worse," American College of Emergency Physicians president Dr. Angela Gardner told the Associated Press.
Nearly 32 million more people will have health insurance as a result of changing health-care laws, and about 16 million are to be added to the Medicaid system, but that apparently won't keep them out of the ER, the AP reported.
So, is this what Americans have to look forward to? Was the system so broken that we had to overheaul the health care system and add 16,000 new IRS agents because of it? More bureaucrats is the answer apparently to this administration. No I dont care what any previous administration did either because its over with, spilled milk. -----------------------------

sittin around drinkin in a bar with women all around you ( cuz thats how you roll..LOL) and you talk healthcare with some random dude???...you must be one hell of a blast to hang with..did you shoot him wit yur big ol gun, cuz he were a fouriner?? cuz dats how you roll??

It was a local dive in a small town, they are the most fun. Sometimes im in the mood for the suburbia pubs, sometimes for big city venue, but big city venue isnt as often. People are far too materialistic in that scene.
The healthcare thing, hey I dont run into Canadians often and he was some kind of Marine engineer or something along those lines so I knew he would have an educated response to my questions. Now do I talk about health care to women at bars? Nah, none of them care. Heck, even most men dont care about current events. Its hard to come across a knowledgeale person.
