Boston (DbTechNo) - Results of a new study may give a better understanding of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)and why children develop the condition.
The condition is characterized by the difficulty to concentrate on a given task, often resulting in children acting out in class because they are simply bored.
This breakthrough is great news as according to the researchers it could one day lead to better treatments being made available for children with the condition.
Researchers of the study, from the Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory, say that children with ADHD maybe missing a protein in the part of their brains responsible for the feeling of rewarding and motivation.
