In case no one has noticed, across the world, governments are speaking favorably about the United States efforts and its position on recovery from the world wide economic failure. For the first time in years, there is a very positive feeling from afar that the U.S. can, will, and should lead the world out of the ditch and will again be the worlds most respected nation.

Sad as it is that the world has had its economy stomped, and as unfortunate as it is that we (and others) have to resort to financial stimulus packages to come out of it, the world sees us as the leader of the way out and offers us respect again. We need to appreciate that and be determined to be its leader in ALL respects again. We got blown off course for a few years, but we're steering right again. And again, the world is following. It will continue to do so if we continue to be responsible and continue to act like a leader first instead of an overseer of slaves. (We don't really function effectively or well as the school yard bully.)

Right, like Obama messing with non profit philantropists who like to donate for a good cause. Now he wants to cut into their tax benefits for giving?

It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so many things that aren't so.

What the devil is this supposed to be about? Have you any idea what-so-ever what you may be talking about? If so, you sure haven't indicated it.

Hmmmmm.....Coincidence????

Bush leaves....and the U.S. starts to regain respect from the World again in a matter of months???

I don't think so!!! [Big Grin]

But then again I think it has more to do with Obama's postitves than Bush's negatives....

Obama is the real deal. Our coutry is blessed to have such a great leader at a critical point in our country's history! [Smile]

Oh, I do. The world has looked up to the U.S. for more than a little while and Bush destroyed that.

I agree that Obama seems to be something different, but no matter who is is that isn't Bush would ease the mind of the world.

Any way, IU was referring to one after another of the world leaders that have said that they look to working with the U.S. on the recovery and pointed out that there isn't a way for the world to come out of it without the U.S. leading the way, then going on to express respect and appreciation.

Been a few years.
