Bdgee, I wouldn't recommend that you take on string theory until you master basic reading and writing.

PM, I have far far deeper and more many tomes more intricate concerns than string theory.
I've made cursory looks into string theory, which is certainly at the moment more in the public consciousness and clearly is a cute and, I know, worthy place to study ands research, but I'll continue dabbling into the foundations of continuum theory (with occasional forays into real analysis). I wish those guys in theoretical physics all the success in the world, though, and I will try to keep abreast of their latest developments as I can spare time from my search for a non-separating plane continuum without the fixed point property.

No its a land and power grab like none ever before... Hard to really quantify which is worse or whether they can be compared as different. It is simply one more assault and its pushers are traitors... That's right... treason... Just like Bush... so is Obama... Like I've said so many times, it does not matter who is in office... The trend line is rock solid.
