Obama has flip flopped on every major issue, which serves to mask his ideology. But he has not flipped on how he will approach taxes and expenditures. Like a true Marxist, he will tax those that earn, and give to those who idle. Obama’s core policies are Marxist. State run Health Care. Increased payroll taxes on the middle class and wealthy to pay Social Security benefits.
Obama preaches the good sermon on the campaign trail with the mantra of Hope for the US and Change for Washington. But looking past the rhetoric, into his ties with the radical left, and into his core beliefs, his Liberation Theology indoctrination, and arrogant campaign symbols, it is easy to see the very real danger an Obama Presidency will bring.
Is this something that could ultimately hurt Obama’s Candidacy? In the words of one skeptic “I think you could have video footage of Obama biting the head off of a real bald eagle, throwing its carcass on an American flag, and lighting the whole thing on fire while smoking crack and it wouldn't cost him a single vote.”
This sentiment is very likely, and it should scare all of us

Obama dropped the $250K figure to 200K when his math was challenged. Now Biden said to fund their Trillion + in programs they have to go down to about $150K income for tax increases on Biz's and Indiv's. Economists say it's more like $50K or more incomes to fund their redistribution policy and new programs. Obama is a liar. Misconstrued? The Heritage Foundation has ordered him to cease and desist or they will sue him to stop misrepresenting their endorsement of his tax scheme.

I have got a better idea lets just give another 700 billion to the capitalist so they can buy up the weaker of them and give more money to the auto industry.
they have had 40 years of tax reductions lets give them more and make sure they pay nothing.
and to make sure they get futher tax reductions give them what is left of social security and burn the I.O.Y's that are sitting in the fund.
That way the right will stop calling us names and we will all fell better.

And not for nothing but these same scare tactics more or less were used on Franklin D. Roosevelt's campaign and guess what? under or right after FDR this country prospered like never before. Almost everyone had a job, home, savings etc.. and whether you like to admit it or not or because of ignorance but some social programs are needed in any society because if there isn't any there really will be no middle class and there will only be rich or poor in this country like in many other country with no social programs... no social programs will equal more poor in the future because when one needs assistance there will be none... and if that happens and someone decides to reverse that to include social programs again you will definetly see a big tax increase then what Obama is proposing...
the thing that amazes me is that no one gets what kind of debt our country is in and do not get how that will be paid off... with our taxes... if not then countries like China will have us by the balls for many years to come... we need to pay that debt off as much as we can and in the smallest time frame as we can so we can once again propser.. if that means a modest tax increase to do so then so be it... increase taxes now so they can be cut dramatically later on when we balance our budget and once again have a surplus... makes sense? I think so...
If not then America will be like a common person with too much debt that can't be repaid... it will be bankrupt... look at Iceland lately:
Is that what you want for us? Because if that happens it will make the Great Depression look like a walk in the park.
What Obama is proposing is not true Socialism... that word is *******ized and used wrongly to scare the uninformed and uneducated... We will always be capitalists but some social programs are needed to keep us from breaking apart... it is the GOP that usually gets us in these types of messes and history has shown that... you can't cut taxes if you do not cut spending... the GOP once it is in office uses the Gov't like a piggy bank like a Carte Blanche card... recent past history has shown this with Reagan & Bush Jr. The only GOP President who had any sense in recent times as to that is Bush Sr. who even though promised no new taxes came to the realization that he had to go back on his promise to try to cut our debt/deficit etc... what McCain proposes is not being realistic and will only sink us more... And God (if there is one) help us if McCain is elected and dies in office to leave Palin to run the country... then we will really feel economic pain...

Ronald Reagan has become a mythical figure. There's very little about him that so-called conservatives today follow as principle. They use his name, but they don't seem to even know what he really stood for.

as for finances? GOP presidents have alawys overseen worse makrets than the Dems. It's even worse now that Dubya has crapped on on US.

The current Republican White House occupant has presided over an average annual decline of 1.1% -- the S&P 500 was 1,342 when he took over and stands at 1,233 today -- the only president of either party of the last 11 to oversee a decline in stocks.

Here's a bottomless pit and a myth scenario for you to think about: Republican Economic practice. Start a war based on mythical weapons. Create a massive new government agency called "homeland security". Cut taxes for the wealthiest among us. Pay for the war (and everything else) by borrowing money from foreign powers who do not have our best interests in mind. Borrow and Spend. The wealth will trickle down, the economy will flourish. Myth and Bottomless pit.

at the time of the tax cuts? i agreed with McCain. they made absolutely no sense at all, and were in fact UNpatriotic. we entered two wars that we knew would cost alot, and cutting taxes is a KNOWN shrt-term boost to the economy, but deficits are KNOWN long-term DRAG on the economy.

YES!
When I add up the increases in state and local taxes and the added on fees and expenses for what used to be cheap or free services as a result of dubya's effort (things like automobile inspection fees and fishing licenses and tickets to the public zoo, school books, tuition, etc. federally, postal rates....) I have been paying way way more in hidden taxes.
