This is the "reverse bailout" it will bail out the depositors instead of the CEO's...

Banks that are already insolvent and have been doing anything and everything to stay open will now begin collapsing if this is fully enacted...

Why would you think that? Seems the depositors are more likly to stay with more than the 100k. Which should let them keep a better deposit level than with out?

because the banks can now liquidate without "hurting their customers".

remember when the Fannie and Freddie rescue plan was enacted?

they said they don't need it, but they will put the plan in place anyway, a few weeks later? they needed it.

the mentality of the banks will change, why fight failure now?
