Just as I expected. I am LA born and raised, big Laker fan going way back but knew that these were two evenly matched teams that has the makings of another classic series.
So far, I am not disappointed.
Good basketball far out weighs home team support, IMO.

had to expect the Celtics to defend home court in the first game, Now the series is on. Let's see who makes the proper adjustments to win it all.

Should be a great series. Lakers played well in the first half but didn't move the ball around much and Kobe forced to many shots in the 2nd half. Celts are going to need some big games from Ray Allen to back up Pierce and KG. Alien Sam Cassell gave them some nice minute tonight.

Celtics did what they had to do. IMO, Lakers biggest problem is Free Throws, Miss them and you lose. 7 point difference at the line made it a much different game.
Give the Celt's their due for game 1.

Chalk that one up to arrogant Phil. The dagger is almost in now.
The part i really do not like about the playoffs is the way the coaches come out and do their brief commentaries during the quarters or time outs. It just seems like team time would be more important during a big game for these coaches.

The reason the players and coaches can make the money they do...is be cause of the veiwers and fans...and the fans like to hear what the coaches have to say!
Of course if they were playing for their life...team time would be more important...but there is big money involved!!

Jackson is really something he blames the Laker loss on Gasol missing that one dunk. He might want to look in the mirror to see the blame.
We need a trade next year get rid of Jackson, Rambis, and throw in an owner Buss. Get Pat Riley back and that other guy Zeke from Cabin Creek that will help make the organization a class act.

I used to be a big Michael Jordan fan from their first championship...till the day michale retired the final time...
but since then I stopped watching basketball...I'm 24 now.
But I watched every game this series...and I'll tell ya....Pierce impressed me. You could see it in his eyes from game one, that the celtics were gonna take it all...and he was going to lead them!
Kobe Bryant is great...and might end up with better career numbers than jordan....but when it's all on the line....he could never do what jordan could do...there's a certain type of magic that some athletes possess...and Kobe doesn't have it!!....at least not on the same level as MJ.
Take Derek Jeter for example...right now he's in the biggest slump of his career probably...but He is still helping his team win games. His 1 hit or walk per game comes when it is needed. There might be some other players in the leage with a great batting average doing less for their team.
