Found this on craigslist, some guy is auctioning his entire house along with items in it, not sure about the whole story because I havn't gotten an email back yet, but are any of these worth a lot? the candlestick looks intersting.. maybe Italian maybe french. pix are too small to tell much tho
the bronze Ram might be a good peice. the pair of horse too (assuming they re bronze)
the chest of drawers/highboy might be good if it's all original and as old as it looks.
the tusks will be hard to sell if they are real. unless you can prove they are really old... people don't want 'em much anymore anyway...
the jewelery? if you get it? look for older (real) pearls and make sure they aren't cultured if they are not cultured? they are worth a ton. checking them (professionally) requires unstringing and high power optical inspection of the drill hole or x-rys to check the core. cultured pearls are fromed on a core, real naturals are not.. the price difference will freak you out...
the blown glass doesn't look "right" to me...
it's an odd blend of what looks to me like new (less than 40 years old, proabably less than 25) handblown glass with some sort of (guilded?) metal attachments that would cost a fortune to have made by high quality craftsmen, esp. if they are guilded well.. but i can't tell the actual craftsmanship on any of the pictures posted (glass or not) cuz they are just too small..
if it's an all-or none sale? my suggestion woulf be to assume none are real antiques based on what i can see from the pix...
if you do get it? i'd be happy to look at better pix and point you in the right direction to find the proper prices for what i am familiar with. (i am a little curious about the blown glass, i would assume the metal work is asian)
that's quite an eclectic collection...

note that this one at 5800 pounds (11,600US$) has different hardware and the grain on the wood is outstanding but the design is similar, differnt drwaer configuration, the top molding is a little different...
it looks like they both have the brushing slide
just remember the quality of "restoration" (ugh) can make a huge differance in prices..

Paintings are worthless.. They are too new. The girls are too thin for the paintings to be worth more than a few grand each.. at most.
