Maybe we need another entitlement - a fuel entitlement. The deadbeats could go in and buy their case of beer and their cigarettes at $5 per pack and get a voucher for taxpayer paid fuel!

"With the price of gas, it takes a whole load of gas -- and we're talking about 9,000 gallons -- to make up for one drive-off, our profit margin is that thin," said Ben Clark, manager of the Bellmart BP station at 3627 McKinley.
On Tuesday, police reported, a woman filled her Suburban with $98 in gasoline before driving off from a station near the corner of Ironwood and South Bend Avenue.
if you can afford a suburban? you can afford to pay for your gas.

I kind of think it is like prosecuting someone of stealing a loaf of bread when they are hungry.
Hell yeah I would convict them...I have to pay for my gas!
and your analogy sucks....You can't even compare the two!!!
You could sell the car and feed a family for a year....
tell the losers to take the bus if they don't like paying for gas!!!!
Even the Bums in this country can't complain...they can walk into the bathroom at any mcdonalds, 711, ect...and drink safe water..or grab a coffe cup and get clean water from the fountain drinks. People in other countries aren't that lucky. Or after bumming people for a few minutes...they would have enough money for a double cheeseburger form mcdonalds....
Nobody has anything to complain about living in america in 2008...
If the Jews could be delivered from 1000's of years of bondage by the egyptians....surely soome bums in the richest country in the world, living in 2008 with our technology...can get their **** together, and count their blessings.

Ironically, the woman probably had to re-fill her suburban at a gas station 5 blocks down the street
