Starts tomorrow. Heard today that Tiger is even money vs the field. That's INSANE. One guy basically has as good a chance as the other 90. Yikes...

Truth is he probably has a better chance than the other 90 put together playing best ball. Out of the 90 I'd say there are maybe 10 to 15 that have a snowballs chance in hell of beating him.
He is truly in a league of his own. Just look at his record over the last year VS anyone else in the field.

I had an interest in it as I got in a player pool. I signed up for two names. I pulled Robert Karlsson and Vaughn Taylor. Who the hell are they? I didn't expect to wind up with Tiger Woods but geez, I didn't expect to get two guys who are probably nothing more than country club head pros. This is akin to getting 5 and 8 for your Superbowl numbers.

Upside that sounds like getting 99-1 at the race track. You are never sure how far above 99-1 your horse is because the tot board can't go any higher.
Ever so often those 99-1 horses do come in but i think those horses have a better chance of winning than your two players.

I did a bit of research on both of them. Vaughn Taylor actually seems to be a half decent player, probably still a 99 - 1 "horse" though. Karlsson has no chance.

Robert Karlsson, tied for 5th after the first round. Vaughn Taylor, tied for 54th after the first round. A few guys left playing that could bump Mr. Karlsson down a notch but it's unbelievable right now.

LOL. Good luck upside! I am in two pools. One you pick 5 players with a "salary cap" and one you pick any 3 of the top 10 and any other 4. Haven't checked the leaderboard since I got home, so I don't even know how I'm doing.

Why'd you edit your original post Ace? Your "Golf Is Gay" comment was good enough to express your childish sentiments, there was no need to change it.

I'm in first place in one pool out of 23 people with a 5 stroke lead, and tie for 2nd in the other out of 158 people.
Ace, you check out that kick ass synchronized swimming event last weekend? Talk about a barn burner!

Speaking of Tiger, he happens to be in 13th place right now, tied with Robert Karlsson.

Nah, it's kinda like the NCAA tourney. There's always one of the unexpected ones there, well except this year of course. If he can just pull two more rounds out of his azz and somehow finish in the top ten, at minimum I get a free draw into the remaining majors. Hopefully I wont pull his name again.

Come on Upside your starting to give up on your longshot. He's just a neck behind a little whip and he could be the winner.

maybe freddy..opps,nevermind,he missed the cut..right? I didnt watch the end yesterday. the cut is plus 3?
I thought the same thing but Trevor Immleman and Brandt Snedeker have surprised me. Man Immleman played a great round today as the leader and Snedeker gathered himself after a rough stretch and kept himself in.
I don't know maybe Tiger needs to lose to find the fire again because he sure doesn't have his A game this week.
At this point I would have to like Immleman's chances. I love his course management.

Robert Karlsson, tied for 8th place with just a handful of the field left playing. Looks like this 99 - 1 horse is going to come in for me afterall! This is probably huge news in 2 places, Sweden and Ups house, no one else really cares.

Not much. They pay out the top 10 spots. Maybe 50, 75 bucks. Made it interesting though.
