and there have already been 3 reported suicide attempts in Green Bay directly related to his announcement. Half the business up there are closed today for a day of mourning. Glad to see we've got our priorities right, at least in this little section of the world.

nah... That last loss was a deal-breaker. He knew most of NFL nation was hoping to see Favre beat Brady. Of course, we in the NFL nation would accept *anybody's" beating Brady.

But, c'mon... 16? 17? years! as a record-setting QB...

Brett deserves a rest and all accolades...

living in wisconsin, it was a sad day. . . i did get to skip out on a history quiz though as my teacher was so curious about all the buzz about him retiring that he had to put on ESPN
