"enlightened" and "knowledgeable" are often confused.
Worse, "enlightened" is too often thought to be un-ignorant.....many who want to believe themselves "enlightened" are actually just absent the facts or have un-facts, like the "facts" that Saddam had all those WMDs.

I see here proof that few people are able to understand that "Alice in Wonderland" was written with the express purpose of explaining calculus.
It is sad that the vast majority of us have not the background to fathom "That Alice in Wonderland" is not trivia or nonsense and is not some silly children's tale of magic to be assessed as such.

I have no idea what your reading but anytime I have researched the New World Order or the Illuminati I never came up with aliens running the world in underground cities. Sounds like a cool sci-fi book though.

When you google up something imagined as a conspiracy by loads of offbeats that get kicks from imagined conspiracies, isn't it natural to find there a lot of imagined nonsense and shouldn't you treat it with just that much relevance to reality?
As you say, it is a freak show. Enjoy it, laugh and have a giggle, but don't get seriously concerned with it.
