As you can see by the chart there is a trend. Looks like a bearish one to me. Heading to zero.

That's a 28 year chart... There is no trend in geological terms that can be defined by such a paltry timescale as 28 friggen years.

Not even the eruption of Mount St. Helens, which occured May 18, 1980?
Damn, and I thought that was a geologic event. It is certainly defined in geologic terms.

Poor Bdgee, he thinks parroting the every utterance of his pull string Leonardo DiCaprio doll is groundbreaking scientific discussion.

100 years is not exactly what I would call a blip when speaking in terms of climatic trends. You do know the earth has been around a while right?

Mike
Why always these Relentless personal attacks?

Neither has pumping petroleum out of it by the billions of barrels and burning it.
I think there is some silly notion that if you can name a number, then it can't be so big it is unmanageable,
THAT IS BILLIONS OF BARRELS, NOT HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS!!!!
And just because the petroleum seems to have disappeared when it is burned, isn't the fact. The damned stuff is still there but in insidious forms that fool us into not paying attention and is killing us via several routes.
