prolly more to do with promising kids great income by "helping folks who deserve a home."
Some truth to the old pool-hall adage: You don't get hustled...unless you're trying to hustle.
On the other hand, those mortgage pros *knew* exactly what they were asking those kids to sell...not far removed from that boiler-room movie.
What really makes it bad? A few years back, I got turned down at a Home Depot, by one of those laid-off pimple-face control-freaks... lol, as you know, I can answer straightaway 80-90% any customer question asked in a Home Depot, on any given day...their service has gone w-a-a-a-y down.

Home Depot sucks in most cases. They are trying to get everyone to self serve so they only need a few employees. They will have a line with a checker backed around a corner and they will come up to you and tell you to use the self service line.

is sad, too...
I used to be able to depend on them, back when they were making good hires. Some think Lowe's is better...I think they suck, too

My wife was complaining about how much worse Lowe's was than Home Depot.
We are both starting to buy as much stuff as we can at a little True Value Hardware store close to us. They are actually cheaper than both on most items and they have the old style people that actually know what they are talking about. They are small so they do not carry all the items, but is sure nice to see an old style hardware store.
I think we might see more of these smaller hardware stores coming back because i think many small item buyers(opposed to contractors) are getting fed up with these big chains.
