Here is the reason the republicans keep trying to alter the Constitution.
The Constitution does not allot to you or me or anyone else a "right" to fairly and publicly be heard in court. Instead, it assigns to the Government, as a "responsibility", to always assure that any of us will have a fair and public opportunity to be heard.
Almost any of the so called "rights" of the people are not stated as such, but as responsibilities of the Government.
Still, the republicans can't escape their delusions of power, including the illusion that they can decide and rule, as does a king.
