The arrogance in this comment is beyond all measure. And how many best selling classic novels have you written to give you the right or authority to even make such arrogant and boorish comments?

So you are telling me that you have "the right or authority to ... make such arrogant and boorish comments", granted by your authorship of at least one best selling or classic novel?
I mean, after all, you do indeed constantly make those sort of remarks (in truth, seldom any others), with the apparant assumption you are free to do so, and you assert there is a sort of "law" allowing that behavior only if you are such a writer.
QED!!!!
So, which best selling ot classic novel have you written?
(Holden would recognize your superiority, I'm sure.)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Will Ferrell's production company has bought the film rights to punk musician Frank Portman's debut novel, "King Dork."
The project has generated a lot of interest since its debut in April. It centers on 14-year-old Tom Henderson, a typical high school slacker whose life changes when he finds his late father's copy of J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye."
Ferrell will produce with Adam McKay, his partner in Gary Sanchez Prods., as part of their overall first-look deal with Paramount Vantage, the art-house arm of Paramount Pictures.
