Leader Denies Accusation of Paying Former Gay Prostitute for Sex

Nov. 3, 2006 — The president of the National Association of Evangelicals, who has resigned amid allegations that he had sex with a former self-described male prostitute, has admitted to buying methamphetamines from the man, but denied that he had used the drug or had sex with the man.
"I called him to buy some meth, but I threw it away. I bought it for myself but never used it," the Rev. Ted Haggard said today to a reporter for KUSA who interviewed him as he was leaving his Colorado Springs, Colo., home. "I was tempted, but I never used it.

Remember he was in a position that millions of people took what he said as the truth from god.
He made moral judgements on people not only for sexual preference but also for drug use.
The lord only knows what his words did in the world and how they were used in the vain of harm and and persacution of people all armed with his words as to somehow justify there terrible deeds with the blessings of god. This man can never repay what he really did . If he is so concerned about people and coming clean. He should now work in the civil rights movement and do something to help the poor victims of drugs.
His weekly visits to president Bush are sure over now and he never really helped with that in anyway. Unless you feel that religiuos jack booting is the answer
