We're sending kids a mixed message: Don't do drugs vs. over-prescribing Ridlin type drugs and anti-depressants as a way of solving all of their *problems*. Add that to video games where the winner has killed everyone else and you have a recipe for disaster.

I will offer one correction to your otherwise apt observation.
We don't over use ridlin to solve the kids problems, it's to solve our problem of not accepting that kids are not adults. Particularly that is the case with little boys, that are expected to behave like quiet, demure, matured, and obedient, young ladies.

whats wrong with these dam kids. We need to bring back corporal punishment at a young age. I'm only 22 but I remember getting beat back in like 3rd grade. I think it knocked some kind of sense into me.

You think these kids would finally learn their lesson. All of these school shoot up plots always get foiled because these idiot kids start bragging about it before they shoot up the school. They start talking about their plans on their stupid myspace websites and somebody finds out before it happens.
Let these parents keep pumping their kids full of Ritilin and Adderal. Tne benefits are great - they're forbidden from joining the military and they all will become future drug addicts, thus keeping the lucrative drug trade full with a steady stream of new clients. Some 40% of kids who are on Adderal usually become meth heads when they get off their parents insurance and are on their own.

Well maybe. It's one thing to talk it up and post some crap on your myspace, but the last few plots that got foiled were pretty well organized. I don't think it was all talk because the last couple of plots had bombs and guns ready to go.
Of course they want attention, but they also want to inflict the pain they feel. But I think some of these boys will learn they shouldn't run their mouths and get found out...

How about go back to the BS; These drugs they're giving kids these days are the equivelent of speed, hence the reason so many of these kids grow up to be meth-heads. The answer; who knows why meth-heads do what they do, but I can tell you they are in a lot of pain and their minds are twisted.

Most of the kids that are doing these things have been ridiculed and tormented physically and emotionally so much over the years in these schools. And then when the ridiculed kids snap, they're to blame.
These kids, immature at that are not seeing any other way out in fear of being more of a victim.
A lot of the actions of these kids that are doing the tormenting, reflects directly on the examples set forth by parents.
I do not justify the actions carried out, it's just too bad that teachers + school administrators don't see the warning signs before it's too late.
No one wins in the end.

Well said Peaser, and speaking of parents, as our population on the planet increases so too does the number of people increase who have no business being parents or having kids . We have too many kids raisng kids who grow up to be convicts.

When somebody hurts you, embarrases you, or causes pain, your natural reaction is to cause the same pain in their life, but to a greater degree. And when you get humiliated, you're going to want to prove you're not a weak little lackey.
Now, if somebody causes pain in your life and you're mentally stable, you're not going to respond to the point of blowing their brains out.
It's no longer safe to be the school bully. Because you're messing with kids who have no family structure anymore, they have no relationship with their parents, they can isolate themselves in a world or depression, destruction, and depravity via the Internet, and they have access to lethal weapons. That's a deadly mix of ingredients....

the real story is all of the charges (mostly misdemenors) against the players that have been dropped. that's why the coach quit.... they have been getting quite a bit of "coddling"
