the worst examples are the new trend west resort, 7000 acres of forest land upgraded twice to comercial , while locals are restricted from building at all, due to numerous excuses, by the city county , state and federal government, who all roll over and play dead for the jen weld corporation when it wants to build a apartments and strip malls in forrest land. .. in a pristine untouched valley..

the redmond ridge. 5 acre minimums for local citizens , out of state million dollar corporation. can build apartments and strip malls.

Amen to that kilhs, I grew up here in Washington State, the last 20 years or so it has totally gone in the toilet. They need to start taxing those who want to move here when they buy a new house or go to get new car tabs. Say 10 to 15,000 dollars to move here.

I meant 10,000 to 15,000 thousand to move up here. It's only fair, been here my whole life and have paid more in taxes. i'm looking at it from a hunting and fishing perspective though. The number of closures just goes up every year. I guess it's vogue for all the Californians moving up here to go out and try and hunt and fish. Ya know, trying to be the great Pacific Northwestern Mountain Man. No one understands the conscept of catch and release, and the pressure on the wildlife is getting rediculous.

Man, I remember in 70s, when 1,500 people a day were moving to Houston...just got back from a job there about 10 days ago: toll roads look like parking lots. Even here, my little hometown, the traffic's getting crazier and crazier...

Yeah, it sucks. Hate to say it, but I'll probably move up to Alaska in about 5 years. Either with the old lady or without. The choice is hers to make. No matter what, I still have the option to retire to Norway to my family's property there. It's looking like a better option the more time goes by.

But you guys are on track about a third party there are now issues that neither party will address to the peoples satisfaction, immirgration,Iraq, and the criminal activity of our elected officials. Which in the historic sense is ripe ground to bring forth a third party

I don't believe there ever was a time of honesty in politics are system I feel was to date the best ever thought of by mankind. But it was full of coruption and greed from the start like everything else in the world to date even the so called people's state in the soviet union there was so much greed and unfairness muder and exploitation all done by ruling class called the communist party who lived as well as the wealthy of europe did and they wanted to keep there statis as that at the expense of the average person. My point is there is still many people of the old communist state that will tell you that it was fair and good the best place to live. People will say and do what they think is the path of least resitance and as long as they don't have to leave there comfort zone to change they are satisfied and will not rock the boat. There is an ocean full of history to back that up.

We need to rock the boat for sure .. or what about using a % of tax dollars to lobby or poluititions. on the issues.. Everytime a corporation donates we give a matching donation out of the general fund. then a citizens group can write our legislation once in a while instead of a lobbyist.
