The University of North Carolina graduate accused of running down nine people on campus appeared in court this morning, saying he was "happy for the opportunity to spread the will of Allah."
Taheri-azar was assigned a public defender, but as he left, he said, quote, "The truth is my lawyer." His bond remains at $5.5 million dollars, and after the hearing, he was returned to Central Prison in Raleigh, where he was held over the weekend. Taheri-azar is charged with nine counts of attempted murder and nine counts of assault.
It's pretty sad that this Muslim terrorist won't be given Federal hate crime charges just because his victims were a bunch of white American kids.
Why the double-standard?

as long as he gets prison...they should put him at the military prison in leavenworth. even though their are soldiers there for crimes they still love their country and will give that guy a nice warm welcome

If a white kid plowed into a group of Muslim kids, he would surely be charged with Federal hate crimes charges. If a white kid plowed into a group of gay activists, anti war activists, or black students, he would be charged with a hate crime.
That's why I'm saying there is a double standard.
This Muslim student was driven by hate to do what he did.

Team Sleep, the double standard is there, granted....But folks like DWE do not help matters..He gives conservatives a label " as blind hateful people" And I am sure you agree with that, that kind of rheteric only hurts our cause, and conservative people don't like it!

I feel it is evident to me and most everyone here that dweeby will never let up with his repetitive dialogue. It is boorish and he plays on the edge of hatred. He feels he is being funny and loves to stir the pot...He never has anything useful to add to ANY discussion, yet he continues to spew hatred with no provocation. It's bewildering to me... I cant quite get a handle on his reasoning. He interrupts and disrupts with hatefilled accusations. I cant see how he is allowed to continue this behavior. Others have been banned for less (I think). I'm all for free speech, but isnt this over the edge? I would think so..but I'm not the one in charge. Everytime I read his posts I get a real uneasy feeling in my gut.. its very disturbing. I thought I could get a grip on him, but I think he is one of the most unusual people I have ever encountered... I , for one, am never going to reply to any of his posts again... I stay away from people I dont like..and I just dont like him.. good luck to those of you who will continue to correspond with him..

Be careful, jordanreed. Being too direct in describing dweeb will earn you an email from the management, as I can attest. I have had more than one.
Why anyone would allow the sort of hateful trash that jerk spews out is beyond rationality. Yet, he is allowed to continue creating an athmosphere of vulgarity and hatered and causing valuable participants in Allstocks to move away (out of fear of or actually being banned?).
Were it in my power, I'd have zapped dweeb the instant he first attacked the first victim he could find. (Well, maybe after the first I'd have explained that his kind of ignorant bigotry is inappropriate and asked that he show some respect for people. I'da zapped him on a second, though!)
Blatant vulgar attacks on the religious views or political affilliations (or whatever other things his miniscule knowledge and biases can't let him understand)of people adds NOTHING of worth to anything antime. It just fuels an athmosphere of hatred. Name calling and insults are so simple minded that even children know it isn't practical and certainly they understand it is a logical vulgarity (don't be so limited as to think vulgar means verbal cursing....I mean vulgar, inappropraite, disgusting, foul, out of place, etc.). But he brags about it.
Something needs to be done about dweeb. He is a foul odor on the geography of Allstocks. (Make that the whole internet.) There isn't one post by DWE at Allstocks that adds anything positive and I can't find one that isn't a proof of what a dumb jerk he is (and that includes what he puts forth as wisedom on stocks). I've said it before and I say it again. I await my come-upance.

I agree. His antics are fruitless. The louder a person yells, the less people hear.
It's OK to be passionate about something, but getting in up in people's faces produces nothing more than a negative reaction.

Team sleep, glass could of torn him to pieces at anytime...He didn't, which just shows me he was an un-worthy person for a direct, time consuming correspondance with glassman...He was entirely out classed and simple minded enough not to know that....
I think he may be gone.....We tryed to warn him..

DWE's antics are 5th grade level at best. His type give real conservatives a bad name, and that's why people think conservatives are morons and a total joke.

Gordon, if so, well what a waste on his part...
Being a member of Allstocks is a privledge, not just a given...
This board is a class act, and can be a great use of information and freindships...
I have gained greatly both financialy and intellectualy, as well as a hell of a lot of FUN from my relationship with Allstocks..
Just one thing that comes to mind as a benefit... I learned how to type because of Allstocks... Some of my early posts were just plain terrible!
I learned how to put my thoughts down on paper [ if ya will] by staying with it around here..
I was lousy at grammer, typing, sentance structure, spelling and relaying info in an understandable manner..What a learning process this has been..Even an un-educated fisherman like me can have the chance to hold is own with heavy weights around here.....As long as you are honest!!
