The majority of Americans were denied the opportunity to cast a vote in both of the last two elections. Count the hundreds of thousands that were never allowed a chance in Ohio and Florida, when the predominately democratic poling places were not supplied with ballots and voting machines to take the vote, while two miles away or the other side of the county, predominately republican districts had dozens of ballots and voting machines that no one wanted to use. Those votes for Gore and Kerry weren't counted, not because the citizens didn't bother to go to vote, but because the Republican machine denied them a ballot when they got there. They came to the poling place, now count their votes! So stop this BS about dubya winning anything. He'a lying crook and and a military deserter and nothing else.

Glassman, the republican base is leaving Bush in droves....You and I are not alone amongst republicans wondering WTF, these political bozos did with all the political capital....
Myself, I see it, as a kind of theft from the party..I think you have posted the same thoughts in the past....
The read I get on the Cabinet, is that it is fragmented into groups, and very little, if anything is being accomplished...
These "Lame Duck Presidents" always seem to get the " Presidential Legacy" thing, all mixed up in what is supposed to be common sense demonstrated by the President.....
In Bushes case, his only hope is that history will be good to him...

What is sad is that republicans thought it so important that Gore be defeated that they chose to endorse Bush, on the basis of name recognition only, over McCain. Rudy Giuliani admits to it in his book Leadership.
My opinion: McCain would have beaten Gore and history would have written him as one of the great presidents.

Main reason I had little sympathy for the anti-war crowd in DC when the war started. I was walking among em, thinking, "Where were you when the election was stolen?"

the polls do matter to the rest of US that back republican principles.... you know like fiscal responsibility, and personal rights and responsibility.. (yeah, they go hand-in-hand)? they matter to the guys that are running this fall... those guys will be bashing Bush themselves to get re-elected, or they'll be losing their jobs..
Bush cannot afford for the Dems to get control of the House or the Senate, and if they get both back by some miracle? Bush will proabbaly not finish out his term....
