It took them a while to get him out of the car, looks like he may injured his ribs. Last night was bad enough but, this wreck probably did some damage.

I almost picked up some cheap Dover tickets for this weekend on Ebay, but dedcided against it just in case Tony isn't racing this week.
I'll wait until the September race to head down there. I'm not gonna waste my time going to Pocono or Watkins Glen, since you can't see everything that goes on. I'de rather watch those races on TV. I may head to New Hampshire, that's a track where you can see everything.
My wife and I stopped at Darlington and Daytona last year. Boy, The Lady In Black sure needs some TLC. I walked on the track in turn 3, boy is she torn up.

This is his best start to the season that I can remember too. He usually starts out really slow, then comes on strong in the summer and fall.
He could probably sit out a race or two if he wanted and not really suffer much in the points due to the chase scenario. Well, that is, taking for granted that he has a strong summer + fall again this year.
It's a good thing for these safer barriers, or he coulda broken something more serious than his shoulder blade. There's been a few hard crashes this year into the walls. The safer barrier has definately made racing a tad safer along with the hans device.
Still waitin' on a Nascar IPO. lol

i bet Tony will start the races and then get out and have another driver finish them.... that way he still gets points, but he'll have to be very careful not to hit anything....
it's still 37 of 190 points just to put the car in the field and take the green... and if he starts? he gets the points even if they finish 30th...
i don't think completely missing 2 races would be a very good idea...
i've been pretty critical of Tony but not of his skill or his tenacity...
maybe if he does miss 2? hell come back even better than ever?
it's really strange how he hit the wall almost the same exact way for two completely different reasons in one weekend....

JJ Yaley robbed Jeff Gordon , Mark Martin and Biffle of the top 10 finishes they deserved.... Biffle may have gottn loose, but Yaley was on bad tires and had no business being up there andtaking the air off him...

Kenseth still owes Tony for the Daytona 500... that one was on purpose, and when it counts? Matt will pay him back if he needs to... Matt's quiet, but he's no wussy

If thats the case, Stewart still owed Kenseth from Rockingham in 1998. It was one of Stewart's first Busch races and he had the lead coming off turn 4 on the last lap and Kenseth's runs into the back of him and knocks him up the track and Kenseth steals the win, Stewart didnt win his first Busch race till 7 years later.

LOL,i didn't see the Bush race in Rham in '98, but i did see Tony run Kenseth all the way down in to the grass at Daytona....
i like trading paint... i wouldn't watch NASCAR if they weren't allowed to....
but? that one was a blatant case of bad manners... as a matter of fact? i've seen Tony do that quite a few times this season... i'm sure the only reason we see him do it so much is that the cameras are on him more....
I'm still rooting for Mark Martin to win the championship...

Yeah I would agree he did kinda make it a little too obvious in that case but, Its not like Kenseth has never done nothing intentional to Stewart either in the past. But from what Ive seen, they seemed to have gotten over it, both have raced each other pretty clean since then.
As for Martin, I wouldnt mind seeing him win the title either, The guy deserves it. It would be a damn shame if he retired without a title but, he still had a great career either way. He came real close a few times. You remember Talledega in fall of 02' Somehow before the race started he was on the front row and all of a sudden he made hard contact with Johnson and it pretty much ruined each others day.
