Just so you know being the experienced debator and all I'm sure you do, there are three big no-no's in debate that speak volumes of the person making the accusations. The message is that the person making the accusation has nothing more of value or substance to contribute. The no-no's are as follows:
Name calling
Pointing out gramatical errors
Personal attacks
I've now finally seen you commit all three and it only took me 4 days. Congratulations.

Oh, I forgot one, because to be honest, this is the very first time I've ever witnessed this on a message board.
Following someone around from topic to topic and disrupting that thread with things which are not even close to the discussion as you have done here, a topic about places in the sun and on the Greatest NASCAR drivers thread.
That is a first.

I must apologize to you. It was never my intent for your innocent thread to be bombarded with this off topic meanderings.
I knew the possibility it could happen as the same thing happened when I posted my opinions of the Greatest NASCAR driver on that thread.
Some people just don't understand boundarys. Must be that free thinking.
------------------------------------------------ Yep, this isn't fun in the sun anymore... I thought we could have an informative vacation thread..

No, Aragorn243, I have not seen you commit #3, but the others are you over and over again. You need to learn some civility. It isn't exactly nice to insult people who point to your errors, but that's you response, rather than correcting them.
Yep, name calling, personal attacks, and changing the subject are definitely the way you proceed whenever questioned aout some claim you make. If you don't want to answer, just say so, but no one needs the bitter hatred in response to an honest query or the insulting attacks you are so prone to.
By the way, just who "altered" the progress of this thread to this stuff?

You have seen me point out gramatical errors? Where?
I have yet to call anyone other than their posted name. As for personal attacks, that's when you question something about the individual that has no relevance to the discussion. I have seen a lot of that from you and from 4Art. What I do is to take statements made by the individual and point out how they are doing what they are accusing me of, like you are doing now.
Let me see, I need to learn civility. I've been nothing but civil. I am insulting people pointing out my errors? No, I am pointing out that they have very little standing when making note of gramatical errors. I could do the same for probably everone on this site but it would serve no purpose.
I haven't name called anyone so that's not an issue. Changing the subject? That's a good one. This topic is about fun in the sun and you guys have turned it into a two man personal attack against me dealing with politics and religion because I am close minded, arrogant and now un-civil.
Bitter hatred. I have no bitter hatred and I'm sure not projecting it like you seem to be. Oh, was that another personal attack, sorry.
When I get an honest query, I answer and honest query.
4Art altered the progress of this thread to this stuff, with your assistance and my bothering to respond to it.

I was just kidding Aragorn243. I've made many typographical errors myself. However, I have an open mind and am therefore fine with being proven wrong, when the evidence is provided.

My last trip to Kona, was waiting for my boss to show up (I was Flight Engineer - private aircraft) and this tour bus pulled up outside the restricted ramp area.
I walked outside the gate to have a pre flight Marlboro light and after a few minutes, the tour bus door opened. Out stepped the driver who looked EXACTLY like Elvis......I mean side burns and all. Ah the stupid stuff you remember

Oops, my error....make that #2 I haven't seen. Pleas accept mu apologies.
The others I have seen you do repetedly....and then seen you deny it later. You are a bit inconsistant, making a claim at one time and place and at some other declaring a claim that totally contradicts the first.

good debating requires solid analysis of not just data, but the sources of the data.... i find that lacking in some of the most recent debating....

We went Oahu last spring, too many people, too many cars. Kauai was much nicer. Looking forward to the Big Island or Maui in March. Honolulu's a 5 1/2 hour direct flight from here!

Alohadreaming, looky here!!!! An Hawaii thread complete with political and self rightous nonsense....Sorta like the House of repesentatives in the State of Hawaiis government.
BTW, Realestate on the Big Island is booming...Bargains are few and far between..
I will be been working on my main project [ Fishing lures ] and with the Federal Marshalls Foreclosure list, on the Big Island, next trip..
A well known and respected poster here on Off Topics, and I, have something in the works in Hawaii that is already taking off...
If reports continue on a positive course from Hawaii, he just may find himself World famous in fishing circles.
There is a lot of talent here on Off Topics, stick around, good people to make friends of here.

hahaha! How a thread can devolve from vacationing in Hawaii to browns and tans and Jesus and Hitler is bewildering! Tropical places I have vacationed in include Jamaica,Acapulco,Puerto Rico,St.Thomas,Martnique, Barbados,St Maarten,Grenada,Thailand, etc.,and loved them all,but Hawaii has the best of everything plus being a US state is easier to move to and will be my US base. Have a condo in Bangkok and and since I visit Paris every year, just came back a couple months ago, decided to buy an apartment in the Marais district of Paris. It will also make it easier to visit my bank accounts and safety deposit boxes in Singapore and Geneva. I'm hoping to buy a condo on the Freedom Ship whenever its finished.Would be nice to take a slow 3 year cruise around the world all the time when I retire.

And a lot more really mellow pakololo smokers stumbling around the islands.Heard one can smell it all the time in some areas and people are pretty relaxed and lenient about it.Grew up hearing about the primo Hawaiian ganja growing like Maui Wowie, etc. One good thing about living on the islands is its hard for criminals to swim thousands of miles to escape justice.Lots of car thefts and car breakins but little violent crime there.
