Sometimes I just can't believe how good life can be, for some of us..........
I think somewhere in the Bible it says Blessed are the Blessed for they are free....

No doubt, great great place. Have not been in a few years, been seeing the rest of our country in the mean time but I will definitely go back. I was there when they were filming "Waterworld" and what a site that was to behold, pure chaos at times in a peaceful place. Hilo is nice as well, great scenery along the coast drive, waterfalls and hiking forever - ahhhhh, i miss it.....

I've never been to Hawaii but would love to visit sometime. I'm one that actually likes snow so I probably wouldn't be interested in staying.
The only "sunny" locale I've spent time in is Saudi Arabia and unless you are very fond of browns, tans and greys and 115 degree heat, I wouldn't recommend it. The heat itself isn't as bad as it sounds, it is a dry heat so if you can stay out of the direct sunlight, it's livable. The Persian Gulf however is the bluest of waters I've ever seen. Sharp contrast to the land.

That is interesting, I doubt anyone else read my post and saw the same thing that you did. Wow.
I've been to Philadelphia, it's been a while since it was 115 degrees there. Average summer temperature is much lower, 80's and 90's but it is a humid heat which makes it more oppressive. I like Philly, usually go there two or three times a year. I can't say I ever really noticed the skin color of the people there, it's not that important to me.

Hawaii and other places in the sun is the only topic here?
Nah, you are a mite too restrictive. I think it's vacations in places away from home and, particularly, for this time of year, places in the sun.
If there is the chance that 4Art missed the intent of your post, maybe it's becaus he read it in parallel to your other post, which do not display much generousity and concern for people in general, just the Politically acceptable to the Party (and we know what those are, don't we).
I've never been to Philadelphia or Hawaii. I have been to a long list of places and have found many facinating and wonderful people in them. I have also, ocassionally, found some not so desirable people. The undesirability was independent of their age, race, religion etc. They were just selfish mean jerks who steadfastly insisted they never made mistakes.

I'm not restrictive at all. My post dealt with a place in the sun. 4Art's did not.
Since my "parallel" posts were not discussing generosity or concern for people in general, 4Art nor you for that matter have any idea of my positions on either.
I don't much care for people that insist they never make mistakes either. On that we can agree. Fortunately, they are few and far between. They do tend to show up on anonymous message boards a lot though. Have you found those instances where I said I never made mistakes yet?

No, I know them to be true. Aragorn243, posted October 16, 2005 02:13 PM
I won't waste more time or effort on the arrogant approach to honest debat you foster because I am not, contrary to your declartion, responsible to you. Leave it with this, you have repeatedly made claim that you are never wrong and repeatedly declared proof that statements you made don't martter because you don't make mistakes. I offer thses examples only to demonstrate your vast willingness to even consider that you may be falable.
You expouse the Party line with no variation. You have been well indoctrinated.

Yes, I haven't been wrong on these message boards yet. You seem very frustrated in that but you have not once offered any evidenct to show otherwise.
I do not make claims that I cannot support, again sorry you have difficulties with that concept.
I do submit facts. They are clear links to verifable sources, not my personal opinions or beliefs.
And lastly, I do know what I said to be true to be true.
You just wasted a LOT of time digging up all that which has taken me all of one minute to respond to.
I have not once made the claim I am never wrong and you have not shown that here, nor did I ever claim to not make mistakes. You have not shown that either.
You are ALSO incorrect that I expouse the Party line without variation and can't prove that either so don't waste your time. I've only addressed about 3 or 4 topics that are even remotely connected to the "party" line, you have no idea my position on any of the others.

posted October 14, 2005 04:42 by Aragorn243 - You are correct that the anti-semitism did not spring from Hitler and that it was the Christian leadership of the time that spread it.

Obviously two seperate posts at two separate times, neither in conflict with the other, both correct.
The first statement refers to HITLER, for him it wasn't really religious, no one knows the real reasons for his initial problems but he did use the anti-semitism which was prevalent in Europe to his advantage to consolidate power.
The second post refers once again that it was not Hitler that created the anti-semitism but the Christian leadership.
But you already knew that since I provided that information in the relevant discussions.

Bdgee, I'm not sure what "party" some of these new "conservatives" are a part of. What exactly is the Republican agenda now? It used to be to stand against anything that would increase the size, power or scope of the federal government. That's hardly the case today.
It's sad that, by merely using the labels "Republican" and "Christian" in their actions, the radical extremists in Washington have conned so many.
Even Adolf Hitler admitted that people will doubt the truth of a small lie, but never a big one...
big lie also Big Lie n.
Repeated distortion of the truth on a grand scale, especially for propaganda purposes: released falsified documents to bolster the big lie that no government troops were involved in the fighting.
