quote:Originally posted by explorer186: What you said Ric in that last post was complete BS. There is more to investing in stocks than following the "trend." WTF is the "trend" anyway, it's all guestimation. Play with loose change, but when you have money you can't lose on the line, do your DD and invest wisely. Yes, sell high, buy low, and any profit taken from a trade is a good trade.
I learned the hard way that it's all about discipline, and selling at the right time. Don't let your emotions take control of you. You can't have all the winners, and you can never pick winners every time. Falling for the hype will kill you. Selling a good "bag" to chase a stock you don't know but think will be a good PR play will kill you. Only sell for a loss when you think the company is hopeless, when the stock is being unreasonably diluted, when the chart shows a death spiral, or when you think you bought in at the top of a run and the current price is no longer sustainable. You need to be careful of MM tricks, hold strong on shakes, or a prolonged dip. You'll do fine if you heed my advice; otherwise you're playing with a house of cards.
Here are my favorite companies, all of them ready to head back up and all real good companies: CKEI, AMNI, HISC, JPHC, IGTN, CYBL, EPYH, GCCP, TNOG, and SNPD. Anyone of those will make you good money within 2-6 weeks.
Not sure what your problem is. And how do you know those stocks are going back up? Swing trading is also called trend trading for a reason. You follow a stock and it goes from say .001 to .002 on a regular basis. Thats a trend. A stock is going has a downtrend but at every stop there is a bounce. Thats a trend. If you know those are going up then you must have researched something and seen some pattern to help you come to that conclusion.
As I said, not sure what your problem is.

Okay Ric, now I get what you're saying. It's just you making it sound so much like a game that peed me off. Sometimes you have to have balls to hold, and there is nothing wrong with holding a good stock.

Well I have to say that I never was great at word play, lol. Us southern folks sometimes have a hard time with the English language. Its hard to write it correctly when we refuse to say it correctly, roflmao.

Well, You need to teach me later more on storage and what to do with a bottle after I open it. Drinking it for health. To many studies say red wine is great for good health.

Its very good stuff *i toasted my dieing grandma back in march with it* Let me know

You don't need to be "more careful" on my account. I was set off by his inconsistency. It wasn't anything that you said. What I was hearing was "Help me I don't know anything". I sincerely tried to offer some assistance and then I started hearing "I don't need your help I know it all". That got me aggravated.....bygones.

Just a piece of advice have a plan, esp with pink stocks. That way you can gauge entry and exit points and not get over greedy.Set your self goals or levels to achive. Personaly i have a chart on my desk giving me targets that i wish to achive .E.G: Level 1= $150.00 Level 2= $300.00 Level 3= $600.00 Level 4= $1200.00 Level 5= $2400.00 Level 6= $4800.00 Level 7= $9600.00 Level 10= $19,200.00
I restarted tradeing again just a month ago after moving my account from Tdwaterhouse (because of its high commsion rates)and so far i'm at Level 2. working to get to level 3. The frist time i started tradeing was 3 years ago when i had $35k lef to me from my father when he passed , ended up tradeing on the NYSE and had it up to $55k in just 9 months , only to have my Ex-wife find out and take me to court which wiped out every thing (she got it all)except for $150.00 . Second do your DD,on any stock, check the chart, the news on the co.ETC.
