Look at the latest numbers 39% approve and 59% disapprove. How low can they go?

unless bush gives brownie boy a lot of money and a place to run to wait till the good old boy finger pointing starts and bushes wife starts to open her big mouth i bet if that happens he will hit single digits. and won't show his face in public for 5 years

I despise Bush with a ferverent ardor, but I don't think it will sink much lower. I think it will actually rise a little in the aftermath of Katrina.

bgrance is right. Once they turn the full force of incumbancy loose and we see how much of the treasury they can use to buy and influence, it may even rise more than a little. This will cost us several billion in influence buying.

And don't forget the mind boggling fact. (this could be caused by the left shooting themselves in the foot) The body count is relatively minor compared with the estimates of 10,000. This is the very lowest that politicians can go. Left has been screaming all week about the numbers of dying in NO. so lets say they find 1000 or less. Now everyone is going to say Oh it wasn't that bad. What a horrific thought 1000 die and thats not to bad. and we all know that comparing it to the 10,000 predicted 1000 is going to seem minor. This is exactly why I despise politicians!

i remember watching the news on 911, and hearing the death toll being predicted at 20,000 or so....

fortunately the the real HEROES were on WATCH that day, the NYC Firemen and Police saved a lot of people.....

these high death toll predictions are media mole-hill mountaineering..... and the politicians play "the game" with them....

i know that the forces of bush will be working over time taking lemons and making lemon aide. i think the poles reflect the kool aide drinkers and cult at this point. the true he can walk on water believers is what you are seeing here. i think that is all he has left. after all there are some americans left with a brain in there head. and they don't want to see him putting on the show any more. like the past. playing churchhill in the rubble of 911 he did not earn that right, land a fighter plane on an aircraft carrier and swaggering around in a flight suit like a gung ho vet,or walking around missippi hugging people like he is really concerned about the people maybe he should get an oscar for that acting job. i used to think maybe he had some good ideas and we ought to let him have his day but when you rise to every occasion with showmanship and false bravado. i get the feeling i am watching a circus entertainer gone mad.

as far as a body count goes 100 is to many and i don't even want to debate that subject time will tell us what that sad story will be. you can bet one thing and you won't have to blame democrats for it people will want to tell there story to and i have a feeling it will be backed up with a lot of facts. one thing most people are saying they should have left the poor can't always do that along with the elderly and sick. i never exspected a city the size of new orleans to evacuate on an every man for him self sittuation that left the 20% of the population in a terrible fix. when you are working for minimum wage don't have a car and no place to go(because you are not going to use your master card to stay at the holiday in for a week)the reality of sticking it out seems safer to you at the time. and in this case it did not work that way. god bless them and us and forgive us all for our sins

cyclekitty1,

Get real. The fewer bodies they find, the better. But it is already proved that there is at least one body that would have been a person if dubya's lackies had done their job. It isn't how many died, but that any died unnecessarilly.

bond006,

Hey! dubya didn't land that plane on a carrier. Remember, he quit flying out of fear (of being in charge of the plane and of the drug test). Maybe one of the few wise decisions he's ever made,

Hmmmmm?
Or. come to think of it, is an action taken out of pure fear a decision or just Pavlovian?

Oh I absolutely agree bdgee 1 body is to many. I am talking about the political games being played out in the media. The left screams massive human tragedy. the right goes to church and prays, The real heroes go to work straighten out the mess and fix it, the body count is 750 the left says (in much quieter tones) well it could have been 10,000 we were just lucky. the right goes to church and prays and thinks the whole thing is way overblown.

There is enough blame here to spread out to several governments. And I for one would just love to see somebody actually stand up and say Hey We screwed up.

I grew up in the slums of Detroit. So I am not exactly ingnorant of no money, no hope, no future.

Bush can't relate to you either then....

the only thing i really liked about Clinton was where he came from, or maybe i should say how far he did come to get to the White House........
of course, the same can't be said about Hillary, or Gore.. [Roll Eyes]

you think he is going to come out of this better than going in well lol. if it wasn't for that nit wit osoma in afganistan we wouldn't have this dim witt running our country when he said jargon like we will smoke this criminal out of his hole where ever he is all the kool aide drinkers loved that swagger. and he went up in the poles, and got in for a 2nd term. how a draft evader ever got the rep for being a fighter is beyound me here we are 4 years latter no osoma as a matter of fact the man is making infomercials to explain his cause. and they are being watched on our own tv sets, but the kool aide drinkers blame clinton for that too. the only thing i have to say is the truth will out.and he will be, by he i me our president elect mr. bush,by the time he is close to finish with his 2nd term single digits. the cult will never admit they think he is a nit witt because water seeks its own level but they will quietly abandon him and let him sink. imho

Ronald Reagan said "The truth is stubborn". I agree..

the Reagan's developed a very wealthy "faith-based" "core group" of financial backers, mostly televangelists like Pat Robertson, the Bakers et. They realised that the faith-based groups were alienating them from mainstream America, so they decided to "quiet them down" a bit so that Georgethesecond could get elected...

they are back out front, and even louder than ever, Pat Robertson recently showed his true colors tho....

yesterday i noticed they released a PR that there are plans being drawn up to use NUKES as a pre-emptive strike against terrorists....i have no doubt that was coordinated to be released on the 911 anniversary....

where did the common sense go??????

It's at 40% now...

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush's vow to rebuild the Gulf Coast did little to help his standing with the public, only 40 percent of whom now approve of his performance in office, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Monday.
