the Iraq war has been one major screwup after another, or did Bush plan to give the Islamics ANOTHER country all along,(and why would he do that?) which is it?
plenty of people with IQ's in the triple digits tried to tell these clowns the mistake they were making... D'OH, i forgot Bush and comapny do have triple digit IQ's, they just have a speech impediments and liberal obstructionists holding them back
sheesh...
and China? they don't wanna pay any more for oil than they have to, either, but they do have plenty more cash than we do... and that was another BAD policy decision...
all this "liberation" crap made me wanna puke... and i've said so in no uncertain terms since we rolled into Baghdad CLEAN...
MY agenda? LOL, you don't go war half a$$ed, and that's EXACTLY what the oval office did.. and the people that were voices of reason? they got shoved aside.... we still have a few legal issues to clear up as well (Judtith Miller, Valerie Plame cough cough)
you don't have to like gold, you just need to look at what infaltion does, cuz gues what? inflation is here and it's loaded like a freight train and getting ready to fly like an aeroplane....

Yes your agenda! oil up many reasons.
currently very low unemployment, economy moving well should cause inflation. Watching for it.

way things are going iran might not be long for this world....
if we control iraqi and iranian oil that would be more than saudi arabia controls....(not that its a plan but worth a thought as things play out)
education loans going up, of course, they just went down A LOT! can't stay down there forever. LOCK IN THESE RATES, While your at it, lock in that mortgage rate too. your grand kids will never see rates this low.
Bring it on, I loved it and still do!

keith, i know rates are low, my first mortgage rate was 16%... , BUT this could have lasted if not for oil... this is not a a healthy type of inflation, it's more like a short squeeze than a good earnings play..
the terroists are oil-financed... and there are MORE now than there were in '01, and the reason there are more is because of the "bring it on" approach...see the chip on my shoulder? it would be funny if it was cartoon.. but it ain't a cartoon....
and after the Plame affair is settled? i bet a lot of really bad things that have been done will be public knowledge... and the GOP is gonna be going into the '06 senate/house elections on crutches or maybe even a wheelchair, and the dems will take their pound o'flesh and then some...
i vote GOP when i can.... and i am GOP...only Dem i ever voted for prez was Kerry, and i just hope i get to vote for Mccain next time....

Unemployment down? Not even close to correct.
Whats down are the "officially unemployed", that is, those that qualify for assistance. And the reason there are so few on those roles now is that the Party passed through both houses and the president signed bills to make that be the case, In actuallity, there are way more "effectively unemployed". Since they can't qualify for help so they can find suitable employment that might keep them close the economic stratta they had before the Party legislated their jobs out of the country, they are working two and three terribly low paying jobs with no benifits to feed, clothe, and house their families. They don't show up among the "unemployed", but their dependents will show up in pitiful circumtances for several generations. They will be the ones that never had the benifitss of education. They will be the sick because their parents couldn't afford insurance. They will be the ones that are doomed to live constantly on the edge of hunger and poverty. The Party will ignore them then too.

bdgee: Unemployment is down, fact, show me your numbers.
ie. your numbers for the categories you say are now changed etc. because if their were changes we would be able to know that through numbers.
so please "officially unemployed" and "effectively unemployed" I think thats the 2 you are discussing. Please present the jump in one and not the other. That is different from 6 years ago.

Glass my friend: I vote no party. I still don't understand it, one of my best friends is a sentate house die hard dem and he would vote that way without thinking...
Glass quote: "the terroists are oil-financed... and there are MORE now than there were in '01, and the reason there are more is because of the "bring it on" approach...see the chip on my shoulder?"
I disagree with the quote, Because it points out '01, which I feel was created by a lack of feeling/worry/caring about the dead in earlier years from cole attacks, africa etc... IMO the fact that we didnt fight back fueled the fires and led to '01 and would've led further.
My other issue with the statement although crude to us americans "bring it on" whebn translated in islamic or for my wife who is also foreign, doesn't harp much anger as it does for the pen pushers in New Haven who never held a working mans job.

Civilization as we know it is coming to an end soon. This is not the wacky proclamation of a doomsday cult, apocalypse bible prophecy sect, or conspiracy theory society. Rather, it is the scientific conclusion of the best paid, most widely-respected geologists, physicists, and investment bankers in the world. These are rational, professional, conservative individuals who are absolutely terrified by a phenomenon known as global "Peak Oil."

i don't 'spect to fix the world overnite, just work towards fixing it instead of just watching the schmucks screw it up.... 16% MORTGAGE interest rates is stealing from your kids..most young people have no choice but to borrow to buy their first and second house.... and NO i don't carry any credit card debt, i could care less if they raise that to 25% or 50
i asked about kids cuz people who think nukes are viable tactical weps usually don't have any, or hate theirs...

I dont give up, I think its a better world with out religous terrorist nuts. once they're gone we can work on the less zealous religous nuts. I dont expect talking to work.
Most people with bank buy their kids the first home. I have to borrow, and just lost my 5.5 rate on the new one cuz i had to take a double while my home is still on the market.
another great research point for glassman, those who like nukes hate their kids, yes. and those who like the death penalty hate their grandmothers. (al franken told me(he's a comedian you know))

i don't like the death penalty either..i think people should pay for their crimes...and pay, and pay...(even if the crime is just passing out classified info ) killing 'em lets 'em off the hook... i also don't think there should be cable TV on death row...or at any of the "country club" penitentiaries either.... make 'em grow their own food.... with hand tools...in the desert..

death penalty? mixed--on the one hand, take the puke out behind the barn and plug em like a rabid dog. But, yeah, if you can get "license plates" ouuta them while they suffer...at net profit to the public?

We have over 5000 years of recorder history during which the death penalty has been practiced for various offenses. There is no evidence during those 5000 years of crime having been brough to a halt.
Moreover, through those records we know that death may have been the punishment for some particular offense, while at some other place or time it was not. Whenever careful statistical studies of those records are made, an interesting conclusion comes out. In every case, within a society, where some "sort" of offense has at some time been a capital offense and in a similar time period it was not a capital offense, the rate of that "sort" of offense goes down when it is not a capital offense and up when it is. Indeed, the claim of it being a deterant to crime is false and usually the champions of capital punishment are either too ignorant of facts or too biased to be rational. Vengence, they claim, belongs to the Lord, while they insist on it for themselves, even in a world in which we have proof the death penalty is awarded to the poor or unfortunate and quite often to the innocent because they haven't the money to "purchase" the court.
Is there anyone out there that actually believes that BTK killer ever could have been detered from his horrible efforts by the threat of the death penalty? The fear of the death penalty makes criminals afraid of committing a crime? What hogwash!
