Somehow from the depths of memory I recall another and quite specific meaning of "bearded clam". But then, I've been accused of having a devious and dirty mind.

According to Plato, (translated, of course), "God ever geometrizes". According to Aristotle, since God can only have perfect thoughts, he never waste time thinking about humans, he must concentrate on perfect things and so must either think of himself or of geometry.

You know, there is a reason they call a cheap cigar an El Ropo. The Weed grows wild in the ditches around here if you know where to look and years back, before they decided to make it criminal, poor folk, with the crops laid by and waiting for harvest time to get a few dollars in the pocket, plucked it from the earth and hung it on a bobwyre fence to dry in the sun, "soes it'll roll and flake good" and then smoked it in corn cob pipes and rolled up in brown paper grocery bag paper. At the same time, they harvested boatloads to make rope fo the Navy. Of course, lots of those dirt poor farmers were dirt poor Mexican farmers, hence, El Ropo.
