Sorry to start a new thread, but seems as though a bunch of people on here are intrested in Poker bots.

How they work: Each one is a little different. Most will just run the same time you play in a different window. They will tell you wether or not to call, raise, or fold. But rember the program is only as good as its creator. If the guy who programs it, doesnt play poker well, you will have a P.O.S. Some on the other hand will actualy play for you. The programs I have seen so far, should only be used with someone there. I wouldnt just leave the Poker-Bot running without supervision.Poker-bots will basicaly tell you what is a correct play acording to pot size, and the odds of making your hand. But most do not take into account a loose game.

Advantages:
Helps with starting hands, when to not get involved and such. And helps from going on tilt, wich can be huge. And most poker players never have a true idea about (THANK GOD). Some are supposedly good enough to play without being supervised. But I have yet to find them! If anyone does let me know. Allthough one my freind is using has won for him for almost a week straight, with him supervising it. Playing $5-10 hes up 2500.

Disadvantages:
Most online poker rooms do not allow them (officaly). The better ones are all but undectable. the lesser ones you will have to run on a computer next to the one you play on. The reason you have to do this, is because, in the agrement you sign with the online casino, you allow them to (I belive its called) screen scan your computer. Wich tells them if you have a bot running, or another form of "cheating".
Also another bad thing is, most you can not leave unattended. And have to use common sense with. For instance in a loose game, if you flop the nuts, and are first to act, most bots will tell you to bet, when in actuality you should check-raise, to make the max from the play, and catch a few in the middle to pay you off as well.

Where to locate them:
just do a search, not hard to find some. But stay away from the out right cheating ones, they can lead to lots of trouble!(the ones that let you see others cards) Will let ya know of a free one if anyone wants.

rember these are just my personal oppions. Do not take them as anything more. I will help if someone is looking, or wants to know of ones I have tried, or know people who have tried some. I will only advise, at the very least not to play online with any cash they can not afford to loose. And warn that many many many people do use differnt forms of "help" from poker-bots, to collusion, to out right cheats that allow others to see the cards that everyone holds. To be forewarned is to be foretold.

Party is good, for soft players, as is Ultimate Bet. Poker Stars has excellent security!! but used to have tougher players. I havent played there in a while tho. And when I did play it was before they had such a huge following.
