now they are talking aboout getting rid of fillibustering(only a 200 yr-old tradition)....hmmmmm...that sword cuts both ways...soon the liberals will be back in power and the conservatives will be crying about the "unfair" rules....

we have probably never had a more short-sighted group of people running our country....i hope we NEVER do again....

Clinton had 40 judicial nominees held back from the vote..Bush has had 10 so far....

Glassman:... now they are talking aboout getting rid of fillibustering(only a 200 yr-old tradition)....hmmmmm...that sword cuts both ways...soon the liberals will be back in power and the conservatives will be crying about the "unfair" rules....

Art: Removal of fillibustering only applies to judicial appointments, which, by tradition, was never employed until recently as threatened by the dumos. The tradition is good and should be codified in the rules - this wouldn't be necessary if dumos had followed past tradition and not fillibustered judicial appointments.

I'm not happy with judicial appointments that will reinstate criminalizing abortion, but would like to see conservatives as judges that don't legislate from the bench like many liberal judges do.

Glassman: Clinton had 40 judicial nominees held back from the vote..Bush has had 10 so far....

Art: Yes, but without fillibustering. You again try to mix apples and oranges.

More comforting to look only at the shadows of falseness.

I understand conservative's annoyance at the childlike behavior of liberals. However getting rid of fillibustering for judicial nominees is a myopic aproach.
To be honest, we the people are best served by our government during a fillibuster. Atleast they aren't making another law that impedes my ability to persue happiness.
