I was all set to buy a dvd burner the other day and the guy at the store told me i cant make perfect copies of movies.

I want to be able to take a dvd movie and copy it. He said I have to have a program that shrinks it down to fit onto the dvd. Is this true?

Also, the blank dvd's only work on certain players? There's a few different types. Which one do i need?

If any feels like taking the time to answer i'd appreciate it. thanks.

A) has nothing to do with being a "nerd", that's knowledge you should have as an educated consumer
B) he was completely wrong, that only applies to burning vcds, you just need a player that can read dvds and make sure you burn in region 0 or region 1
C) look it up online
